Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted October 8, 2013 Super User Posted October 8, 2013 . You ever have 4 men in their underwear on your boat... I did! I think Sean has. Quote
basser89 Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 I think Sean has. But you were one of the 4 SPEED! Had a little time this evening so I popped over to Baker Park to see how the front affected the bass there. I figured it'd be rough and it was. Spent most of the time looking for a reaction bite using a jerkbait and a lipless crank. Spent the rest of the time working a soft stick bait with no takers on any of the baits. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted October 9, 2013 Super User Posted October 9, 2013 Whoa! I gotta stop with the catnip then. Absolutely no recollection.... 1 Quote
basser89 Posted October 12, 2013 Author Posted October 12, 2013 With a break in the rain, I got a chance to get out this afternoon for a little while. First spot I wanted to hit was standing room only so opted for my second choice, Baker Park. Worked my way around the lake and got to a section that I've never had any action but was stuck at that spot for a while with ducks hangin out where I wanted to fish. I was throwing a lipless crank when I thought I picked up a branch but then it began to fight back. LOL! Played her out and pulled her to the shore. Only bass of the trip and she measured 20 1/2" and weighed 4lbs 11oz. Here's a pic. 3 Quote
nastynate Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I get out myself but there wasn't a break in the rain. Got soaked but put two decent ones in the live well. Hit 2 on a lipless and the two better ones on a war eagle screaming eagle spinner. 1 Quote

nastynate Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Yea river bottom. Water was on the rise barley in the yellow when I put in and in the red when I took out. The creek was raging mud and trees but the rest of the river was just stained. Ran up to the dam and floated down to the railroad piers. Picked lots of grass of my baits today the boat looks like I'm ready to duck hunt now. Lol 1 Quote

I'm in Ridgely in Caroline County. Never really fished Johnson's pond though so all I can really tell you is that the majority of my recent fish have been on moving lures like spinnerbaits or cranks. KritterGitter Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Thanks Joe I do appreciate it, once Im off the graveyard shift and on my weekend Im gonna give it another shot. Ive read alot of tips on here so far, its a lil deeper water than Im used to fishing so I think my flaws are mainly associated with that. Good luck to ya up there!! Quote
KritterGitter Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Welp, headed out this morning after i got off work to a Salisbury Park, a local spot where the water feeds into the Wicomico river. I wanted to practice skipping jigs and in the process I hooked into a massive snakehead, now Ive caught one there before, 18", not to much of a fight, but, this one today put up a hell of a fight, Ive never seen a fish jump so many times in one fight, unfourtunately for the dinner plate and my jig it broke the line right at the seacap... I know its invasive and not good for the other species but man it was a fun fight. 1 Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted October 18, 2013 Super User Posted October 18, 2013 Caught this nice fish earlier today at the private lake I go to. I was throwing a Yum Dinger and she was sitting right next to a bush right by the bank in about 8 inches of water. 17-18 inches and about 3.75 pounds. 2 Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted October 21, 2013 Super User Posted October 21, 2013 Well it looks like the cold is here. Weather reports are saying we might get snow here in W-MD starting next week. Tomorrow will be the last day for the boat I guess. Quote
basser89 Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 I saw 34 this morning here in Frederick. Hadn't seen the extended.forecast yet. Hopefully its not too bad. Quote

If you know of another that differs from the one Alan mentioned and you need a rider, give me a shout. Hell, if you know of any give me a shout anyhow. If I don't hear back from him, I'll fish with you if you need a partner. Quote
