unhbass37 Posted August 19, 2010 Author Posted August 19, 2010 Man, maybe I'll skip that as well. What's another good little pond or lake around the area? Anyone fished Bowers Pond? That's the pond you drive over near exit 8 on Rt.3 correct? Just looking for somehwhere close that houses some nice buckets! 8-) Not sure where you live, But I would reccomend Robinson Pond or Otternic Pond both in Hudson. I usually will hit these if I don't have alot of time. Good Luck and let us know how you do. Quote
badcrawdad Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 When you're ready! just got up, everything is still in the car and I can be ready in minutes......I can meet you whatever time. just let me know Quote
Super User Shane J Posted August 19, 2010 Super User Posted August 19, 2010 Alright, I'll give you a call. Gotta get by the national guard (wifey)! Quote
NHBASSMASTER Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 I live in Nashua now, moving in a few weeks. I'll look at those on the topo. Good fish in there? Not stuffed with milfoil and coontails? Maybe I'll try one of those. Edit: Look's like I'll be trying Robinson Pond, looks pretty good from the topo's. A little deeper, I like that. Launch looks good as well. This'll be interesting unloading/loading the boat myself! Quote
Nixstyx Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Robinson has been good to me the last few weeks. It's only 5 minutes away so I get there often. Not many big fish, but it's almost impossible to get skunked, and it's a fun place if you only have a couple hours. The other day I was having luck in the cove on the south side of the pond - not near the marshy area, but just off the dock of the last house along the eastern shore. Quote
NHBASSMASTER Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Thanks for the tips! Heading there now. We'll see how I fare. I will post back with results/pics. Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 19, 2010 Author Posted August 19, 2010 They just did a weed kill at Robinson pond, But it really didn't effect the fishing. Good Luck. Quote
nashua fisherman Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Naticok is OK at best. Nashua Fisherman seems to do OK there, But I heard it's not the best place to hit. I personally have not done well there. unless its closer ide hit robinson. they are simular, tons of small bass. Quote
NHBassfishing Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Thanks for the tips! Heading there now. We'll see how I fare. I will post back with results/pics. Wish I seen this earlier, I would've hit it up with ya..! Quote
NHBassfishing Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 What can you shore fish at Robinson..?? Is it just along the road or can I head over to the beach area..?? Quote
nashua fisherman Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 cant go over to the beach area unless your a resident. not a big deal unless there is a pond host there. Quote
nashua fisherman Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 im heading to robinson right now. if anybody wants to fish ill be there in an half hour. ill be the guy with the "team diawa hat" Quote
NHBassfishing Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 If my wife gets here like now I'll head there.. I live 7 minutes away.. Quote
NHBASSMASTER Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Sorry I missed ya! I did about 3.5hrs worth of fishing and it was just ok. You could tell that they did a weed kill, the tips of all the coon tails were a whitish color. A lot shallower than I thought it was going to be. Fishing was ok, I ended up getting 23 buckets, but they were all dinks, as well as 6 pickerel, which Robinson seems to be full of. The largest is in this photo, about 3lbs. Sometimes it's just fun to catch a lot of fish! 8-) Quote
nashua fisherman Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 wow. i only got three. ive never seen it this shallow before. Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 Nice. Glad you were able to get some. Like I said before Robinson is a place I will hit just to catch fish. On the weekends It's jammed with rec use so keep that in mind. Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 Didn't get out today, but gonna hit somewhere at 7am tomorrow with a guy from work. Good luck boys this weekend. Quote
NHBASSMASTER Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Yeah, it appears that Robinson is about 2ft low. The lack of rain hasn't been helping any of these small ponds. Looking to go out in the morning until about 2pm. Wondering where I should go....staring at the topo and trying to pick a place. Quote
jaystraw Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 It's great to see people doing well!!! Nice fish everyone! I got out last night in Sutton on a small pond. Did pretty welll catching about 6 LMB each in a few hours before the sun went down. Mostly everything on 5" senkos, and the biggest was just over three. Quote
