fmoore Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Awesome guys. Figuring out a new lake is the best. Quote
badcrawdad Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 UNH My last two pics were the same fish, 5-11. or if you meant shane's I think it was 2.5-3 lb Quote
jaystraw Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Nice fish you two!! Excellent work!! I got out with my buddy this AM on Halfmoon Pond in Hancock. We caught a lot of 2-3 pound fish from 6:30am-11:00am. Probably about 8 each. We caught most of the just on the weedline with senkos, craw-worms, fat ikas, tubes and creature baits. fun morning in the canoe before the rain. and I've installed my new trolling motor on the nitro and I'm ready for action!! Kevin McG Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 No more shore fishing for me picked up a kayak today and can't wait to head out for some fatties.... Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 24, 2010 Super User Posted July 24, 2010 That's great, Jay! Glad you're back in business! Congrats Kevin on the rig, that's cool, too. I just got back in from pre fishing the spot me n' UNH are hitting tomorrow to make sure the front didn't shut 'em off. It didn't really. Got six in a couple hours, but no big ones, with the biggest about 2.5lbs. They were liking the old 10" Anaconda in Red Bug worked real slow weightless. Here's one of the little fellers. Most were in the 1.75-2lb range. Hopefully tomorrow the bigguns are hungry. Quote
badcrawdad Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 What a good week I've had. I met Shane and UNH at crooked pond today and came across this 5 1/4lb pig. Only a couple other dinks to go with it, but I'm OK with that. Quote

Shane thanks again.... Quote
badcrawdad Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 ya, I never seem to get many fish there, but I have caught quite a few beauties there. I'm sure you'll get em' next time. Quote
NHFisher Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I got my inflatable out for the first time today. Hit Turee pond and pulled in 3 bass and missed what must have been about 7 more on a Stanley Ribbit. It was a good day for me. I've only caught 4 other Bass this year. The largest today was about 2.5. Quote

Most of the misses where from me jumping when the bass broke the surface of the water. 4 of the misses where within 4 feet of the boat. They where hitting hard. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 25, 2010 Super User Posted July 25, 2010 Had a good time today, guys, even though the bite was slow. No problem, we'll get 'em next time. Crawdad, you stay catchin a hawg every time out, man, great job! That pic did come out good, too. Quote
bwillis Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Anyone free on Monday that wants to do some fishing? It's my last day to myself before I get married next weekend and I'd like to get a trip in. Quote

Kevin McG Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Ok now that I got a kayak all rigged up where do I go? are there any "hot spots" in the Nashua area? I headed out to Naticook this morning and caught a few LMB and a bunch of pickerel, those picks are hitting HARD! I am thinking Flints and round pond are in my near future. Quote
fmoore Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I don't know about anyone else, but the fishing has been great for me lately. Lots of bass with 8 over 4 plus one over 5 in the last week. My bass thumb is incredibly sore and started bleeding today ;D Fished for 4 hours today in the afternoon and this was the biggest out of 15 or 16. Three over 4 today. Sigsbee was loving all the fish. He even got a rock bass or two to play with. He doesn't try to chew my rods/baits anymore and knows that a hookset (usually) means a fish. He gets angry when I miss fish. lol Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 25, 2010 Super User Posted July 25, 2010 Yeah, buddy, you're on fire lately. Quote
badcrawdad Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 fmoore, you're on fire dude! I thought I was having some pretty great luck, but getting multiple pigs each time is awesome. I went out deep sea fishing for cod today with a friend of a friend. some how all three of us managed to forget the ice so we couldn't stay out long. But I think thats a good thing. I've never been so tired from fishing. Lost count but had to be 20 each in about 3hrs. Only had 12 keepers between the 3 of us but non stop action was pretty cool, I'd still rather hook an 8lb LMB! Can't beat the fast action, either. Sounds like a great day. Quote
badcrawdad Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I wouldn't consider the cod we were catching "pigs" the biggest was 28in and 9lbs. I went out earlier this year and had a couple that were 13lb and 15lbs. and a buddy on the boat had a 28lb. those were def more fun but its just pulling dead wieght up from the deep. Now striper on the other hand 34 in is still my biggest. cant wait to hook a 40+. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 26, 2010 Super User Posted July 26, 2010 at least the bass hole is back on with some better fish. Few hours this morning I got 9, biggest was 4-2. All of came on a jig with baby craw, and tx rigged rage craw on a keel weighted hook. Quote
