eloo Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Nice job badcrawdad and bwillis.Looks like that bass picked on the wrong crawdad! Quote
badcrawdad Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Thanks everyone. Actually about to head back there in a couple mins. The wind is gonna be tough but we'll see Quote
unhbass37 Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 Gonna need a power pole for today boys. Wish I had one. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 2, 2010 Super User Posted July 2, 2010 Yeah, I hear ya! I'm gonna wait until about 5:00 to head out, then fish till like 10:00, or until they stop biting! Good luck out there. Quote
badcrawdad Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 ended up going to Rollins Pond instead. that wind was tough but managed to snag 7 LMB. seemed to only strike when we'd get a hole in the clouds and the sun would shine through. once the clouds blocked the sun again......nothin. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 2, 2010 Super User Posted July 2, 2010 That's weird, man it was just the opposite for me. When it cloudied up a bit, I got hit, then sun comes back, they went to sleep on me (except pickerel). Quote
badcrawdad Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Shane, do you ever fish at rollins? sounds like your boat is prob to big to launch there. its kind of a pain in the butt to launch and load but theres alot of bass in there. lots of 2.5 - 3lbers and have gotten a few 4 and 5lbers there as well. you had said your buddy lives right near crooked pond, does he happen to live in the white cape. I met that guy there last year, but cant remember his name. Quote

I had the same thing yesterday. I was at the Suncook Reservoir and only got hits when the sun was out. Got one bass but again it was when the sun peeked through. When cloudy I had nothing. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 2, 2010 Super User Posted July 2, 2010 Actually, my friend lives in the horse farm right before you get to the pond. And, I use a 10' jon boat with a trolling motor to fish all the places I can't launch the bass boat, but no I never fished Rollins Pond, but I'm up for it! Quote
NHFisher Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I'm headed out in the AM for some fishing. Anyone suggest a good spot for shore fishing around Pemboke up to around 30 mins out. If anyone else is heading out in the morning and wants to meetup let me know. If you have a boat I'm always good for gas or snacks. Quote
unhbass37 Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 Got out today twice. The pond x I caught 6, But nothing bigger then 2 lbs. The 2nd pond was BIP and what a HUGE waste of time. Jet skis, Speed boats, R/C boats and fireworks >. I caught one perch and a small bass. Remind me next year to stay away from that place during the 4th. Now I now know why there were no boat trailers in the parking lot. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 3, 2010 Super User Posted July 3, 2010 I hear ya on that, UNH. Only small ponds for me this weekend. Got on quite a few fish yesterday, but the biggest was just under 3lbs. The night bite sucked last night, so called it quits at midnight, but probably gonna hit somewhere today since the boat's still on the truck! Good luck if any of you guys are out there today. Quote
wagn Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Went out Thursday with my Dad. Caught my largest bass of the year so far. 5lbs 2oz. My Dad got a 3lb 6oz bass as well. Very windy and almost everything was on spinnerbaits. My overall size average has improved dramatically so far this year over last year, but I haven't been able to break the 5lb barrier until last week. I have a quick vid I'll try and post sometime later Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 3, 2010 Super User Posted July 3, 2010 Very cool, Wagn! Congrats! Quote
unhbass37 Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 Congrats Wagn . I have yet to catch a 5 pounder this year. Tough year so far for me. Had a killer year last season. Quote

Took second last night in a Friday Night T on Contoocook Lake. Nothing special for fish, I don't think we even had one over 3. I couldn't fish today, so my T partner fished with his 8 year old son on the CT River. They took second out of 31 boats and had a 5.76 (or thereabouts) and 1 other fish over 5! Limit of 4 smallies/4 largemouth I believe. Nice paycheck for a day of fishing. Quote
unhbass37 Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 Took my son fishing tonight for a few hours and he caught 1 bass and a yellow perch. I caught 3 bass, No biggy's though. My son did lose a pig right at the boat I felt really bad for him, But thats fishing I told him and it happens to the best fisherman. Here are a couple of pictures, The bass was 1 lbs 10oz. Yellow perch was small, But it made him smile. Quote
jaystraw Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Nice job everyone! Things are heating up again!! I've got out the past few mornings and have done well with the smallies. Went LMB fishing at in Sutton today in the canoe, and we had a great time. My buddy caught one around 3.5, and then I caught the pig pictured below at 4 lbs 6 oz (or so my broken scale told me). I then had another pig on that was bigger than the one pictured below and it came off at the boat. It was a real heartbreaker, but made easier by the 4 pounder I caught about 10 minutes later. 5" senkos were working for me, and tubes and creature baits were working fo my buddy. Quote
