Boots Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Checked out Massaboag pond today in Mass. Only caught 3 in 2 hours. Place is huge with a ton of milfoil and fanwart. Locals told me there are 9 pounders in there. I don't know about that, but it is tough to fish.I did talk to a few people out on the water and told me they have not caught anything all day so I guess 3 was ok then LOL. May check it out with the tracker next week. i slaughter there all the time, you gotta know the spots. that place is semi private and is closed july and august to the public. they usually lock the gate and if it isn't locked the neighbors will call police( if they see you) to get you a ticket/ warning. i've got a big orange sticker stuck to my jeep last year. badcrawdad Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 hello, i've been reading for a couple years and picked up alot of good info, thanks guys. anyways i live in pembroke and fish mostly small ponds under 100 acres. i would like to hook up with some of you and hopefully find some new spots and learn some new techniques as i've become quite a 1 trick pony. I pretty much always use soft plastics and fish the shoreline. anyone in the area with room on your boat that would like to slam some bass let me know. thanks Quote
fmoore Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Back on the river today by myself from 10 til 7. Ended up with about a dozen but found some more areas holding fish for the tourney. It's so hard to let them be and not catch them! Best of the day was 4 pounds 10 oz. Lost 1 bigger one. I gotta stop with the losing fish thing. Quote
NHFisher Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Looks like I can get some fishing in early Saturday morning 5-8am. Any suggestions on where to go around Pembroke for some fishing from shore? Quote

Thanks Tom. I honestly this have not done as well as I would like. I mean I'm catching them, but not many big ones. Hopefully I will start doing better as I am gonna try to fish a lot more. Maybe Monday night or Tuesday night we can hit Massabog in the tracker before they close for the next two months. I will call you. Quote
SaltyUSMC Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I brought my little basshunter out to horseshoe pond, mainly just to test the boat out. Everything was good with the boat, but as far as fishing.. it was horrible. I threw everything I had at that place and all I could get was a little bass about the size of a river minnow. I saw a snapping turtle about the size of a tire that kinda spooked me and about a 10lb carp and HUNDREDS of baby bass but not one decent sized bass. I figured out that Horseshoe pond in Merrimack is a gigantic waste of time. Quote
nashua fisherman Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 i went to hopkinton lake for 3 hrs this from 8 to 11 am and caught 4 bass and a pickeral. nothing big but it was nice getting out by myself. there were alot of boats judging from the amount of trailers at the ramp but it didnt seem crowded though since the place is so big Quote

unhbass37 Posted June 27, 2010 Author Posted June 27, 2010 Got out today at Robinson Pond for a few hours and caught 17 all on trick sticks . Nothing over 2lbs, But a fun time none the less. Just for everyones info they just treated that pond for milfoil last week, But it did not seem to effect the fishing. Quote
Kevin McG Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Got out to Millpond behind the Conway Arena this morning, fished 6:30-10 and got 4 pickerel and a handful of 1 lb LMB. One of the pickerel was huge! and the sucker snagged my best spinner bait Quote

Nice job unhbass.Sounds like you had a great time.Had some fun at Turee pond this morning.Tried a double fluke rig for the first time. This rig gives the appearance of a smaller fluke being pursued by a larger fluke. Was surprised at how well it casts.Kind of a twitch-twitch-pause retrieve with both flukes darting about in close proximity.Caught 7 LMB and several pickeral and crappie along outside weedline in 6-8 ft.Most of the hits occur during the pauses. jaystraw Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Nice job guys!! I got out this am at Pleasant Pond in henniker/Deering and I caught about 7 LMB's in 5 hours of fishing. Pretty slow, but it was nice to be out there in the canoe for a morning. Caught them on a Yamamoto Swim Senko (first time) and got my first annual topwater frog fish on my snag proof frog. Also caught them on 4" watermelon senkos. Quote
unhbass37 Posted June 27, 2010 Author Posted June 27, 2010 Thanks Jay and eloo. Glad to hear everyone did well. Quote
bwillis Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Got out to Pawtuckaway with my fiance's uncle for a few hours this afternoon, I got 3, he got 1. Biggest was 2lbs 12oz, rest were around 1-1 1/2 lbs. Hit Freese's Pond for about an hour and a half, and managed to land 2 there as well, both just under 2 lbs. I'm gonna try to get out for a few hours on Saturday, maybe hit Crooked Pond in Loudon. badcrawdad Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Thanks UNH! If I'm remembering correctly from reading n the past you"ve definitly had your share of pigs. I tried Mill Pond last year after seeing all your pics but never caught anything over maybe 2lbs. got out tonight on shaws pond in New Durham and got 3 smb and 5 lmb with a 2.5 lb smallie and a 3 lb lmb. but wasn't able to get any pics. Quote
unhbass37 Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 Mill Pond has been very tough this year, not sure why either. Glad to hear your doing well. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 1, 2010 Super User Posted July 1, 2010 That's a nice 6 right there! My buddy lives 100 yards from that pond, and it's always been tough to fish there, but it does give up some pigs sometimes, including one of my 7's from last year, and my buddy's 6.5lb. The bass in there like buzzbaits, and weightless Tx rigged craws. Quote
