Went out on tuesday. What a beautiful day.

Me and my friend caught 120 bass in 7hours of fishing.

Absolutely crazy. It was a pretty even mix of smallies and Largemouth.

Everything was caught on plastics, worms, tubes and Fat Ikas.

I don't think I've ever had blisters from fishing before

We had a bunch of 2 + fish. only one over 3 I think.

Very few dinks. This was one of my best days ever. The only time I've ever enjoyed fishing this much are the times I've caught fish over 6lbs.

Simply Awesome

I've have a video up eventuall of the day

Ugg Mill Pond has been skunking me for the past couple of days :) tons of bass visible from the shore but they are turning there nose up to everything I throw at them.

I am heading there today and I will catch something dammit! :)

Kevin try a lipless crankbait. Rip it threw the milfoil. I got bit that way. Good luck.

Kevin,

I know it sounds a little weird, but work really hard at sneaking up on the fish.  If you can see them, than they probably can see you, and often that makes them not want to bite.  Try casting parallel to the shore where you know the fish are, but aren't close enough to see them.

Ya, I try to and I usually stay a bit way from the shorline so not to spook them. Fishing parallel works :)

Thanks! I will pick up a few and give them a toss. I may head to Tinker Rd. around noon to try that place out, I never fished there any suggestion on hotspots?

Mind-boggling Wagn! This was the "perfect storm" of fishing. The memory of this outing will fortify and give you hope on those days when not even the bugs are biting.

Went back to Baxter Lake this morning. Landed 3 nice ones, 3-4 pounders. 2 were caught on a shad-rap in shallows, the other was caught on a 1 dollar spinnerbait in 10 ft. (which works better than my 8 dollar spinnerbait) All beds were empty :)   I followed a 3 pounder cruising shallows but he didn't seem interested in anything I threw at him. I really need a fish finder. I'm fairly certain it would make for a more eventful day. I should make the investment.

Seriously though, those Walmart 1 dollar spinnerbaits work great. The blades rarely get caught up. We plan on  going out again on Sunday, and may even do some night fishing. We were thinking of Ossipee or Winni. Any recommendations?

Thanks guys. It really was just the perfect day.

I actually can't share this place. A good friend showed it to me and asked that I keep it secret. It's about an hour west of me in Peterborough. It's just not a very well known place. I hate to be that way, but out of respect for him being willing to show me his honey hole, I'm going to have to keep quiet on this one. :-X

I'm heading out tomorrow on the Piscatequog for a few hours in the morning. I probably won't get 120 but hopefully the bite will be on

I hear yeah wagn. I told alot of people about Mill pond and now there are a TON of boats out there on that small pond, Yet I don't mind helping people find a place to fish, After all I do this for fun. I'm no tourney guy. It's all about making some new friends and having some fun. 8-)

whoops i was trying to modify my thread and accidentally deleted it.

I know what you mean UNH. Most of the places I fish are real common knowledge anyway. But this one was my friends special spot. It's river system that most people just don't seem to know about. So I'm going to keep quiet like he asked me to.

Got out onto Turee pond the past two days. Caught a nice 3.74 LMB which was a personal best this year so far, and then promptly lost my reel and rod 9 feet under water yesterday. Yet to figure out how that happend? Fished out the rod and reel today with a giant touch of luck and then caught a decent 2lb LMB so the fishing gods were on my side thankfully

1st picture is the 3.74 lb LMB. 2nd is 2 pounder

I had a pretty productive afternoon at Naticook yesterday from the shoreline, caught 2 large Pickerel and a half dozen LMB (2 lb'ers).

Also, hooked into something HUGE but it ran into the weed cover and he got away :)

I can attest to the fact that Nick spent well over 1.5hrs dragging the bottom of Turee with a homemade grappling hook  before he "caught" his rod and reel and then proceeded to catch several LMB.The man is a fishing savant!
