bwillis Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Went out to Turee Pond today, fished for about 7 hours. Caught nothing for the first 5 hours, then caught a 2lb LMB and a small pickerel on a carolina rig. Quote
troutguy Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I did a little shore fishing at round pond in nashua. Actually was surprised by how clean of a lake it was and the cover and structures near the banks. Caught 1 pic and 1 small LMB. I was only there for about a half an hour but it seemed promising. Does anyone else fish there or know anything about the lake? Quote

Does anyone else fish there or know anything about the lake? ive done ok there , but its still not my first choice. the water is crystal clear there and its deeper over behind the plaza. another place i see people shore fish is the pennichuck water works. plead stupid if you get caught there though. you can fish the merrimack river in hudson under the hudson/nashua bridge by taking a right after the vfw then taking another right. weve caught some smallies there. my neibor caught a nice smallie in the nashua river behind margarita's under the d**n last weekend. if you have a mass liscence there always a couple small lm at the entrance to locust pond. good luck. unhbass37 Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 Looks like the fish are headed back deep again. Good luck to all that gets out there. Hate these cold fronts. > Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 28, 2010 Super User Posted April 28, 2010 That's alright, brother. Get 'em on a drop shot or C rig! They can't hide forever! Quote
montrose Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Drop shotting indeed. This weekend's forecast looks good with temps warming up so hopefully.......... Quote

wagn Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Got out today for a few hours. Tried Silver lake over and Harrisville Lake. Man was it windy. I was blown all over the place. I only managed 2 bass and 1 pickeral. Not a very productive day but better then being at work Quote
wagn Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Has anyone fished Skatutakee lake over in Harrisville? And does it have a public launch? The fish and game website says no, but Clark's says yes. I've heard good things about this lake and want to check it out. Thanks Quote
mattj Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 RE:Skatutakee lake over in Harrisville, I'm pretty sure there is a public landing ...I've driven by it a few times. New to Dublin , NH (via Chicago) and new to this site (1st post). Heading out tomorrow with my son and my new Pamlico over to Half moon pond in Hancock. Went out for the first time 2 weeks ago -1 LMB just shy of 3LBS. Like the site Matt Quote
bwillis Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Anyone fish at Swains Lake in Barrington? I have reserve drill in Portsmouth this weekend and I was thinking about hitting that place on Saturday afternoon. Quote

Welcome to the forum, and welcome to NH. I'm over in Peterborough, pretty close to you. If you ever want to get out for the day let me know. On that note, I think I'm heading out tomorrow if anyone is looking for a ride, i've got an open backseat on the boat I think. Peace Quote
SausageFingers23 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Afternoon gentlemen. Weather this weekend is spectacular. Got out on Dublin this morning for some brookies. Managed 20+ in a couple hours. I stopped counting at twenty. Found a nice little school and had an awesome time. Hope everyone is on them this weekend. Quote

fmoore Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Nice Sausage. Lots of fun when you get into fast action trout. Fished a tourney today...ended up with our limit of 4 for 17.52 pounds. A 4.81 smallie and a 4.56 largemouth were our big fish for the day. We ended up taking first and lunker. I don't have a pic of the fish yet but I'll post up when I do. Tough day though. No fish between about 8:30 and 2:30. We were lucky to get right on them in the morning. Quote
SausageFingers23 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Thanks FMoore. Nice job in that tourney. Where were you finding your fish? Im thinking that they're moving up and hugging cover with these warm temps and high skies. Quote
wagn Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I'm heading out tomorrow, not sure where yet. I'm really hoping to start finding them up shallow. LIke to get into a nice shallow jig or maybe even spinnerbait bite. NH_Bass_Tard. I sent you a message as well. Quote
unhbass37 Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 I picked the worst weekend to do home projects. Gonna be 90 tomorrow >... Good luck boys. Quote
troutguy Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 got out to millpond today and did a little shore fishing pulled a nice LMB on a spinner...picture isnt very good quality but one below Quote
fmoore Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Thanks FMoore. Nice job in that tourney. Where were you finding your fish? Im thinking that they're moving up and hugging cover with these warm temps and high skies. We caught all the fish in less than 6 feet of water. The smallies were caught on a flat in about 5 fow near a weed bed/drop off (I think they're beginning to move up to spawn) and 5 largemouth over 3 came off 1 rockpile in 6 fow. It was catch 1, come back in 10, catch another type deal. We got another maybe half dozen largemouth off docks and in the channel running through a 2 foot deep flat in an isolated cove. They were very finicky though. No downed trees or any heavy cover of that nature in this lake so it made the day a bit more difficult. I caught all the largemouth but 1 for the day and my partner caught the two smallies. He wasn't pulling his weight! lol Quote
montrose Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Here's one that my girlfriend caught yesterday at Baxter Lake. It measured 18". It was the only catch all day but a real nice one. Quote
unhbass37 Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 Nice catch. Heard good things about that lake. Quote
wagn Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Nice Job guys on those fish. I got out today and could not buy a bite. I caught 4 pickeral and 1 perch, and never even saw a bass. I could not figure it out today, I fished ever type of structure possible and basically threw the tacklebox at them. If the weather hadn't been so nice I might actually be upset. Quote
