Dang man!! You catch some really big fish out of the Ct. River. I'm going to have to get some pointers!!!

Maybe we should try and schedule an early get together this year. We could all meet up the first Friday in May at Franklin Pierce Lake in Hillsboro or Powder Mill Pond in Greenfield. Both have a LOT of parking for trailers and excellent/easy boat ramps.

I've never fished either body of water but they both have good reputations. They are both huge and both have the potential for us to catch some pigs. I know Franklin Pierce has White Perch, Bass and Northern Pike as well as Trout. The same goes for Powder Mill Pond. Both lakes have tourneys on them during the summer.

If people are interested, PM me and I'll start generating a list.

I'm going to be fishing Silver lake a lot this year I think. I've never been there, but with the nice launch and good fishing, I just have a feeling about it.

Its an excellent fishery.  I've only been there three times but have had good outings each time.  Couple words of caution - make sure you have fully charged trolling motor batteries.  The wind out there will cook them fast.  Also pay close attention to your depth finder.  The water is tremendously clear but the bottom changes depth rapidly and there are a ton of huge boulders out there.

I've done best with rainbow trout pattern cranks/jerk baits when chasing smallies.  You'll enjoy it.  Especially with that new rig.

It's my day off, but I have some stuff to do in the morning if I can drag my butt out of bed.  Any time from the late morning on is when I plan on fishing.

Hey everyone. Got out on my new rig yesterday for the first time. We went to Lake Massesecum.

We fished from 4:00pm to 6:30pm and the water temp was reading 44 degrees. I caught a smallie on a t-rigged senko after 5 minutes of fishing near some boulders in the 10 ft range. Did not catch another fish until around 6:00pm and I caught two largemouth within five minutes of each other on wacky rigged senkos being dragged along the bottom. Both were pretty close to shore in about 5 feet of water near some overhaning trees. One was about 3.5 pounds, the other was about two pounds. My buddy Matt caught a nice 2 pounder as well.

Overall decent time for a short outing in the new boat.

Hey guys, I went out yesterday and didn't have much luck as far as bass go. I caught 2 crappies and 7 pickerel. My dad caught 1 lmb that was about 2lbs and 5 pickerel. One thing we did notice is that water where we were catching fish was about 55-57 degrees. And it was also a windblown shore. There wasn't much wind, but it was consistently blowing on that shoreline. The rest of the lake was about 48-53 degrees. So my advice, which is something you guys probably already do, is to fish windblown shores, especially if it has a constant wind, because I'm betting the water will be warmer there.

Just got a big order of trick sticks from All luring baits. Now I just need some good weather to get out there and use them.  ;)

I hit Hoit Rd Marsh today in the stiff breeze, and had a good day. 5 bass, and over 10 pickerel (pain), but a few nice bass. Biggest of the day was 5lbs 3oz, plus 2 a little over 4lbs, and 2 around 2lbs. They were all holding around (not exactly tight to) standing timber. All bass were caught on a black/chartreuse jig with Rage Chunk in Summer Craw color.

Nice fish Shane! I fished for about 2 hours tonight after the wind died down and ended up with two fish - one just over 4

Hey guys got out yesterday in the canoe with my buddy Matt from 4;30pm - 6:30pm at a little pond loaded with small bass in Sutton. Caught about 20 LMB each , mostly on senkos, nothing over 2.5 pounds, but it was nice to have such fast action.

Nice fish everyone!!!

NIIIICE!!! Where were ya?

On the CT River in Hinsdale. The fish have just about fully moved off the shallow wood and are hanging  in a little bit deeper water now. It's been a slow transition since early last week.

Can't beat those fast action trips Jay! Nice!

Hey All

Just found this site and wanted to introduce myself.  I live in Nashua and fish almost anywhere in southern NH as well as a few places by Hooksett (where I work).  I love fishing the jig and soft plastics, but just getting into big swimbaits this year.  Anytime anyone wants to go fishing just let me know!  I'll be out most weekends!

I was on Naticook last weekend.  I worked the big swimbait most of time and only got one swing and miss with it.  Switched over to a stickbait at the end of the trip and quickly got a few pickeral and a bass to get rid of the skunk.

Anyways, I look forward to reading more local reports and maybe meeting some of you.
