Super User Shane J Posted July 26, 2010 Super User Posted July 26, 2010 Yeah, buddy. I'm headin' back out there around 6:00. Quote
unhbass37 Posted July 26, 2010 Author Posted July 26, 2010 Nice. It was a ghost town when we were there. Very weird. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 26, 2010 Super User Posted July 26, 2010 Not too weird, actually. It's been hot or cold all year, but I keep going back because I know there's some hawgs that live in there. Quote

fmoore Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Sounds like a good morning Shane. Nice fish. Question - any particular reason for the keel weighted hook vs a bullet weight? Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 27, 2010 Super User Posted July 27, 2010 Fmoore... SLOW HORIZONTAL FALL!!!! Gets 'em all the time! Quote
fmoore Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Fmoore... SLOW HORIZONTAL FALL!!!! Gets 'em all the time! ooohhhhh....makes mucho sense! Thanks! Quote
Nashua Nev Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 My first largemouth on a plastic worm. also looking for suggestions on line for longer casting with these lighter non weighted plastics i am slowly learning to use plastics , i have been using much heavier jitterbugs and poppers Quote
unhbass37 Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 Congrats. Use a weighted hook or add split shots to the line. Hope this helps. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 30, 2010 Super User Posted July 30, 2010 Nashua, you didn't say what you were currently using for line, or if you are using spinning or casting gear. On spinning reels, try out a co-poly or flourocarbon line in 8 or 10lb test for soft plastics. If you are using casting gear, step it up to 12 or 15lb test. Congrats on the fish. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 30, 2010 Super User Posted July 30, 2010 Seriously? Nobody fishing today? I was out for a couple hours this morning, got a few but only dinks. Headin' back out around 6:00 to find the mommas! Quote
unhbass37 Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 Got out today with my son for about 4 hours and caught a WHOPPING 63 LMB. I'm not kidding either. Best day I have had on the water this year. My biggest was 4 lbs even and my sons was just under 2lbs. All bass were over a pound. What a awesome day. Loved the wind today. :) Here are just a few pictures. Quote

Got out today in the yak, went to Naticook and had the most productive day there yet....10 LMB and 2 Picks in 4 hours, largest about 2lbs. Quote

Nashua Nev Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 UNH where did you get all those ? I am kind of new at this with my 11 yr old, My little guys says he would like to try that place. Quote
jaystraw Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Nice job UNH! That's the way to do it! I got out yesterday in the Nitro from 6-1:30pm in Bradford. Did well catching a decent amount of SMB's and LMB's on pretty much everything thrown out. No real pattern and it was slower than I expected, but it was still a beautiful moring on the water. Beats working! Quote
