it was too windy for to take the boat out so we fished this bridge at arlington mill pond in salem nh while looking for a place to launch next time. we were only there for a short bit but we managed a few bass on senkos. this would be a good spot for someone who is shorebound.

No we did not weight it, I could not see as it was dark out and no flashlight, But to be honest I say well over a pound for sure (look at the belly). We were fishing in his favorite spot to the right of the launch almost to the back of the pond. I told him he needs to fish in some kid tounaments as he seems to do well LOL. Good times with my son.

I have no idea where your located but Catamount Pond in Allenstown has plenty of hornpout. I go there often. Turtle pond in Concord has some decent fishing for hornpout as well.

Mill Pond has them in there, but I don't think there are a lot. In the 3 years we have been fishing there this is his second one. Keep in mind though we are not tring to catch them either. Good luck.

Went fishing at Turee pond today. I personally didnt catch anything but i was having quite a few problems. My friend managed to catch a nice hornpout on a plastic worm. He was jigging it and it struck it like a bass! Ran into eloo and chatted away whilst fishing. He caught a nice little bass off the launch. Ill post pics of that hornpout soon.

I fish over there alot from shore but just not where you went as theres always someone there..

Looking at the map continue on Broadway but turn onto Mill Pond rd. and fish the bridge where it says 386.. It was like a spawning hole there last year.. Then you can continue just past that and B&H Oil, and theres another bridge to fish both sides of..

Good shore fishing spots..!!

thanks. we also found a spot to launch after B&H Oil. a guy i work with has a brother who has water rights to the pond so we'll probably launch from his access too. heard marine patrol is there quite often. wonder if i can get a ticket for being a non-resisdent?

Cool. I'll check it out to with the inflatable.

if you dont mind taking my buddy i bet we could get the tracker in there.

when you go down to check it out, stop by the convenience store with the launch. they have a wall of pictures of 5+ pounders on the wall. theres smallies in there too.

Hitting Bow Lake tomorrow morning - early. I'm predicting some good topwater action and plenty of smallies.

How did Bow lake turn out for you?  I rarely do very well there.

No problem at all. I just need to get it ready for the season. I have been really busy. I hope to have it ready to go the week of the 24th and yes I still need to get the MA license LOL.

Added an extended deck to my boat this weekend (I'll put up pics of that later). I also built a camera mount for my Flip Camera.

Got out today for a couple of hours to test the deck and the camera out.

I made a little vid testing it out. Figures I got into the bite right after my camera died ;D

Water was 60, and the Smallies were up on beds. Drop shot seemed to be the key, I was fishing a finesse worm with only a 6 inch leader above the weight.

Ended up with 20 fish on the day in 4 hours. First time I've really been sucessful with a drop shot.

Nice camera set up Wagn! I like the idea of seeing the whole fight 8-)

I got out today for a couple hours in the canoe. Got blown around for a while with no bites. Finally found them on beds, from 6" of water to maybe 2 feet. Used a Rage tail toad to produce blowups and locate fish. All fish were caught on senkos. Here is the best one of the day, went 3lbs 3oz.

Anyone else know of any good places to shore fish around Concord? I know Turee pond was a good place for me but after fishing it with the canoe today I don't think I can go shore fish there now lol.
