unhbass37 Posted August 3, 2009 Author Posted August 3, 2009 Ya I agree, But to be fair to them I usually post in both areas. LOL. I wish I did not start this thread, But it's going strong. Quote
catchbig0bass Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Thats what I mean this one is stronger than the other one. I always see this one getting updated quicker than the other. I pretty much never read through the other one. Thats why it would be nice to use one thread. Quote
nashua fisherman Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Take it you have been fishing over their? Anyluck? ive been once since that night i caught one on the torpedo. i can see the fish jumping but they never seem interested in what im throwing. Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 Got out tonight for a couple of hrs and caught 3 bass at Mill Pond, But it is almost unfishable now. The Milfoil is very bad. That's a bummer for me because it's close and I have done really well there this year. I wish they would treat the Milfoil to kill it, But I think it may hurt the fishery. It looks like I am going to have to find a new spot. I also got a chance to meet Sauage fingers tonight as I was leaving. Quote
NHfroggin Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Hey nice fish everyone couldnt get out all weekend but got out monday to kingston lake and did ok 5 lmb biggest around 2 1/2 lbs will update with pics later. -matt- Quote
SausageFingers23 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 UNH - good to meet you last night. Thats an excellent set up you have. Perfect for a lot of the ponds around here. Youre right - the millfoil in the mill pond if out of control. Its not any better in the main river. Unfortunately, I think Im punting on the mill pond until that stuff starts to die off as the water cools. Quote

Anyluck? ive been once since that night i caught one on the torpedo. i can see the fish jumping but they never seem interested in what im throwing. All I throw is senko's... last night was there from 5 - 9 and caught easily high teens. 1 was a nice 3.5#er... gotta wait till the gf gets the picture to me. just try throwing senko's darker colors like the pumpkins and watermellons with black flake. Last night was all about the watermellon. By any chance do you drive a black jeep? Someone came back there when we were fishing saw my truck and her bike and turned around. If it was you, dont be scarrrreeeddd come join haha. Well provided you see a red xterra that is. Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 Got out this morning very early and caught 8 at Horsehoe Pond. Nothing worth taken a picture though. I don't feel like there are many big bass in there though. There are a few other places I am gonna try to see if they are better. bassmaster6 2 1/2 pounder is a nice fish. I am gonna try to get up there sometime this week to check it out. Quote
nashua fisherman Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 wasnt me. i drive a red olds and a white hyundi. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted August 4, 2009 Super User Posted August 4, 2009 Hey guys, got a question for ya. Thuresday I'm headin' over to Massebesic early, like around 4:00am, in hopes of being on a spot by 5:00. Anyone have any advice about what's been good there lately? I've had great success there in the past, but mainly early spring, like pre-spawn ish. I'll be launching off Rt 121 in Auburn. Also, if anyone wants to join me, I'll have an open seat on my Nitro until about 10:00. Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 If I were you I'd throw a crankbait or senkos. I had luck last year with that.Good luck. Quote
NHfroggin Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 UNH if you go up there on the weekend or after 3 or 4pm the boat traffic picks up alot , an anchor might be good to have. The fish completely moved from last time i was there. where i caught the 3 1/2 and a couple others last time i caught only a small dink this time. they appeared to be on deep structure(10-15') like fallen tree's or deeper weeds. its tough without a fish finder. also i tried fishing most of the docks on the lake and had very little sucess i tired skipping senkos and flipping space monkey's. good luck -matt- Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 Thanks for the tips matt. I may go thursday.I also got some trick sticks ordered, those senkos are getting expensive lol. Quote
NHfroggin Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 np unh, yea the trick sticks are nice i bet you will like them better than senkos, cheaper and more durable. -matt- Quote
catchbig0bass Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Thanks for the tips matt. I may go thursday.I also got some trick sticks ordered, those senkos are getting expensive lol. I don't know if you have used the trick stix im guessing ur talking about ***. But I will tell you I absolutly love them and won't buy another GYM senko unless in a pinch. They are soo much tougher. U can litteratly fish all day on 1 or 2 worms where after about 30 or so casts with a GYM they fall apart or after a few fish. I useto go through about a pack of those every couple days or if the fishing is good 1 pack a day. With these Ill be suprised to go through a pack every week. As well as their cheap. Order the dents and dings bag too I got a ton of trick sticks that are good in their. Quote

There almost like a pink tint to them and I have had the best luck in the past week or so on these. Been throwing pumpkinseed as well but the smoke pepper really stand out. Just an FYI Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 5, 2009 Author Posted August 5, 2009 Thanks guys. I had already ordered Black and Black/blue. Those seem to work very well where I have been fishing, But I will add some different colors on the next order Quote
nashua fisherman Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 made it out for a few hour tonight on big island pond in derry with my neibor. we each caught 3 bass. i caught the biggest, weighing 2.9# on a jitterbug. Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 Nice fish. Did you use your boat? I went out yesterday and caught 4 bass with the biggest 2lbs 2oz and a 1lbs 110z. Quote
catchbig0bass Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Got out yesterday up to massabesic. first stop was wildlife taxadermy to get a okuma avenger reel and berkley cherrywood rod. After gettings useto the combo I really like the overall setup, strung up with pp 20#. Got totally skunked up there just 1 sunny after I got bored and decided to throw a real worm out there. Gf caught 1 nice probably 1.5-2#er. I was throwing senko's of all colors and jitterbug at night and just couldn't get a nibble. All in all it was a fun day in the sun. Quote
nashua fisherman Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 is this a smallmouth or a real ugly largemouth? caught him at the mouth of the nashua river. Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 I say Largemouth, But did it have the strip? Smallies are bronze in color and fight like no tommorow. Smallmouth are vary rare in the Nashua river, But it could be. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted August 7, 2009 Super User Posted August 7, 2009 is this a smallmouth or a real ugly largemouth? caught him at the mouth of the nashua river. That is a smallmouth. Quote
