It's going to be 50+ degrees on Thursday 2-17-11, and my lake has 16"+ of ice, it's not going anywhere any time soon. If you want a nice day to ice fish where you don't have to be bundled up in the shanty with the heater on full blast, this is it. I'll be out there, and have enough extra gear for some one to join me. Bluegills will be the target. PM me if your interested, like I said I'll be there regardless, good way to cure a little cabin fever.

I'll be out there tomorrow, could be the last time. Got  to get my farm machinery ready to roll for spring time in the next few weeks, and do some work on the boat to get it ready for open water. Ice should still be fine for at least the next week to 10 days, but this time of year it can change fast. First time I have to jump across open water to get on the ice will be the last. It was a good ice season, but, like every year, am ready for it to be over.
