flippincrazy Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I didn't see it anywhere else posted so just wanted to let yall know KVD is going to be at the boat show sunday 1/16/11 in Cincinnati, Ohio. http://www.hartproductions.com/travel-sport-and-boat-show/ Quote
Sfritr Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Went there on Sunday. Saw KVD and listened for a bit. I know this is my own opinion but I have met him before and think he is a complete Jerk. However, thats my own opinion and I still think he's the best angler on tour. Tiger is also a complete ***. Confirmed on many occasions and now publicly. Quote
flippincrazy Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 I met him and got a picture with him. He seems like a good ambassador to the sport of bass fishing. Saw him at the classic last year and he seemed nice then also. Quote
misfit1III8 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I met him a few weeks ago and he was far from a jerk. After his demonstration he talked and took pictures with people as soon as he left the area. I came back an hour later and he still standing there talking with people and the line was much shorter so i got in line. He gave a dude in front of me a quick demonstration on flipping and a few other things and never thought twice about answering any questions. Not too mention his seminar was pretty good. Quote
oteymc Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 That's like talking bad about Santa Clause! Quote

Confirmed on many occasions and now publicly. I'd be curious about the specifics of what he did that led you to that opinion. My uncle won a round of golf with Tiger through Nike a couple years ago. His handlers had a million rules for their day with what they referred to as "the talent." Basically, don't touch him, LOL. Quote
Sfritr Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Franco While working in Flint, Mi. during the Buick Open over the years I have had the "pleasure" of dealing with Tiger and his jackass of a caddie, Stevie. One example which I am sure you will find all you need happened when Tiger came into my restaurant and would not allow anyone to speak directly to him. You had to ask his caddy what Tiger wanted to eat. As I would do with all the golfers, I gave them a wide berth and tried to keep people away at least while they were dining. After they were finished eating a young boy, maybe 10, very quietly and politely walked up to the table and said "Mr. Woods, you are my favorite player. I am sorry to bother you but could you sign my hat?" Without a beat Tiger said "Get outta here kid, cant you see I'm busy." True story. Incidents of this nature were common from him over the years. However, John Daly's Caddie... Coolest guy at the tournament, hands down. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted February 5, 2011 Super User Posted February 5, 2011 I drove some of these pros around in a limo for a buddies business when the Ryder cup was here. They were mostly OK, but preoccupied. I was actually asking about Kevin, not Tiger. Quote

Sfritr Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 A few.... I ran Don Pablos for a number of years, then opened the Famous Daves Franchise, Then Lonestar steakhouses for a bit. Quote
Sfritr Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Franco As for KVD I had a few buddies that worked the BPS in Auburn hills, Mi. They would tell me stories of his antics during and after the spring fishing classics. Personally, I watched him scream at a worker because they didn't have enough of "His" spinnerbaits on the shelf during one of his seminars. His Brother is a great guy as well as his nephew who is a heck of an up and coming fisherman on the mini circuits. Quote
