birdy Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 The pond I fish in has been great. The bait fish have moved up and the bass followed. Caught 15 in about 5 hours of fishing over the last 3 days, all between 1 to 2.2 lbs. Catching everything on a Yum 3 inch wooly beaver tail in watermelon. Trying larger lures to catch the bigger fish, any ideas? Quote

OHIO Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I live about ten minutes from West Chester and I can't catch a thing. I only shore fish and it seems that most of the fish have gone really deep. The fish I have caught have been on small jigs and small spinnerbaits. I have been using a black and blue jig with a Chigger Craw trailer and all white spinnerbaits. Where do you fish if you don't mind me asking? Just curious if they are neighborhood ponds or what. Quote
birdy Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 I have not really fished since just before Thanksgiving. But I would think unless the air temp warmed up the fish will stay deep. As for where I fish, your correct it is the retention ponds in and around my neighborhood. I can say that I've seen plenty of people fishing around the Mulhouser (SP?) barn. But again, very little activity due to the depth the fish. Quote
