Scorcher214 Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 I live on lake I'm out in Clay Township (by Algonac) and i was wondering if there were any places that were good for shore fishing in SE Michigan. Any suggestions? Quote
timothy_spain Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 This is from what I've read and heard ... I don't have a boat, so I can't give a first hand account: I hear Fair Haven is good. Selfridge is a hot spot. St. John's Marsh is a good place too. There's plenty of places on Lk St. Clair. Quote
timothy_spain Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Oh ... shore fishing?! Sorry, I misread... Bradenburg Park (23 Mile & Jefferson) is a good spot to fish from. There's a pier that extends a ways out into the lake. Pikes, smallmouth, largemouth, rockbass, panfish can be caught from the pier. Sometimes muskies and bowfin fishes will come through the area too. Carps are big in the area if you're into it. Harley Ensign Memorial is a good spot too. Fish the south side of the park with a frog for largemouth. I was there yesterday and I landed 3 keepers, lost 2, and missed 3. My cousin missed 8-10 and managed to hook only 1. (Sad for him). You can also try Metro Beach and Stoney Creek. Quote
