zero Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 i am wondering whats good swimbait colors for potomac because theres a lot choices of paddletail swimbait colors i'm thinking about get shad color/blue gill color should i get different colors Quote
zim Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 with the water being so clear I'd concentrate on natural colors right now. Monday we had decent luck with pumpkin and watermelon senkos. Not a lot of size but we did have quantity to make up for it. one fish large enough to spin the canoe 180 but the line broke before we got a look Quote
Super User Shane J Posted July 7, 2010 Super User Posted July 7, 2010 Might get more knowledgeable folks on the Potomac in the Southeast section, but if I were down there right now, and I was throwing swimbaits, I'd go right for the baby bass or bluegill patterned ones. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted July 9, 2010 Super User Posted July 9, 2010 Think "baitfish" color and you will be doing well. Shad and bluegill are my favorites currently, white has produced nicely too. The baby bass (both smallmouth and largemouth) are getting crushed right now too. Quote
acesarcher Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Houdini is a great color down there as well as dirty sanchez Quote
