THE HOOK Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I'm going camping for labor day weekend at Wells state park in Sturbridge,MA. Planning to fish Walker pond there but know nothing about the place, anyone been there ? Any tips or reports ? Quote

RussBert Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I just fished there last week. Try the lily pads at the far end from the boat ramp. There's also some sunken trees by the public beach. My partner pulled a 5#'er out from there, she was just sitting there at the tip of a branch. The area just to the right of the boat launch had a nice school of smaller fish. They were hitting one right after the other. Lotsa fun! Black & black/blue flake wacky rigged Senko's were working well There are also some great mountain bike trails in the park, if you're so inclined 8-) Quote
