oprcsr Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Went out twice this past weekend, once on Saturday to the Susky (had one nice smallie get of the crankbait at the kayak), and on Sunday I went to Lake Williams. Was able to get 3 in the kayak, all on a 4 inch brown senko. They were the first bass in my kayak and the first senko fish I've ever had. One was 8" the other two were 13" and 16". I bought a cheap digital camera that really sucks, well for 10 bucks no wonder:) 1 Quote
NateFollmer Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Decent little fish from what I can see I need to take a trip to York too, Williams and Redman look like they would be worth the trip (about 2 hours for me). Quote
oprcsr Posted June 30, 2010 Author Posted June 30, 2010 They seem decent. Both have largemouth, stripers, tigermusky, channels, crappie, shad, and the normal other panfish. Quote
NateFollmer Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Does Redman have that huge billboard sign up on the hill? I remember passing a lake on the way to Baltimore and seeing that. I think it would be that one because it's right on the Interstate from what I can see via google maps... Quote
oprcsr Posted June 30, 2010 Author Posted June 30, 2010 Yeah thats the one. Williams is just across the street from it. Redman flows into Williams. Neither are too busy normally, and both are trolling motors or self propelled so their is never too much commotion out there. Let me know if you hit them up, I have a little knowledge of each, more of Williams though. Quote
BadKarma42 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Coming from the West, how much further is Williams from Marburg? Quote
oprcsr Posted June 30, 2010 Author Posted June 30, 2010 30 minutes or so, its only 3 roads but a lot turns and such. 216 to 214 to Water Street. Quote
NateFollmer Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Hey thanks! I'll let you know if I bring down old blue (the boat). I have too many lakes on my 'list of lakes to fish'... Better get started! Quote
boatnik13 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Like marburg they are water supply dams and almost weedless . They are limited of fisherman according to the smaller parking spaces. I still make structure maps of these lakes if anyone is intrested. Quote
BadKarma42 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Marburg had quite a bit of submerged grass/weeds when I was there a few weeks back (at least where I was fishing). It seemed that the bass were in the grass or on the edges. Quote
boatnik13 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I just ment "water supply" not the weeds and grass. Redman has shelfs like 8',15' then its base but weedless and open. Great for stripers.Williams has shallow points and drop offs and clear water. Each lake holds fish down 30' depths . Redman has lots of manmade structure and williams has mostly natural structure Quote
BadKarma42 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Gotcha. Misunderstood what you were getting at. Quote
