martijw Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Hey, I am from the Toledo area so you bet your *** I walleye fish, white bass, and smallies on the Maumee. I dont have a boat yet, but I fish any pond that I can get permission too. I also hit up a few lakes in Michigan and Illinois for some pretty good luck. Still waiting to get the dream bass though...I will conclude by mentioning the fact that I carry a consolidated Plano tackle box in my car with two spinner rods that are ready to go at a moments notice. If your water has bass and I have the time, I am there. Quote
Fishohio Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 My name is Rick live in NE Ohio. I fish Atwood, Tappan, Leesville, Saltfork, and sometimes Westbranch.Have a 14' homemade Bass Taxi. Love throwin Tubes!! GO BUCKEYES!!!! Quote
thetr20one Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Yea we really do have a lot of ponds out here. Im basically surrounded by them from all sides. Just counting only my neighbors like adjacent to me there's like 8 i think. Plus my pond well mine is actually 2 cause there's like a 1/2 acre maybe a little bigger next to the 10 acre one. Also behind my house in the woods are 2 ponds next to each other that are decent size. So I guess for ponds I could walk to in like 5 min or less there's 12. Now if i actually got in my car and drove for 5 min its endless how many there are. I am actually right around the corner from spencer lake if any one knows where that is. Yea I know exactly where Spencer lake is and if I knew your address I would be able to pull into your drive without directions. I dont' want your address but I just know Medina very well!! Quote
shootermcbob Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 My name is Bob. I fish mostly at Tappan lake, with occasional trips to Clendending Lake and Salt Fork Lake. I started fishing only a few years ago, and find it mesmerizing to be out fishing while the sun comes up, the turkeys are gobbling, deer will be snorting, and, hopefully, the bass are slamming a black jitterbug. ;D I do not currently own a boat and will most likely not for a couple years. Chance_Taker4 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 My name is Chance. I live in Toledo but go to college in Defiance. I fish in mostly reservoirs like Swanton, Wauseon, Delta, and Metamora. But I also fish the Maumee River, Maumme Bay, Oxbow Lake (once when I was really little), Harrison Lake, and any farm ponds that let me. Quote

EJVH3 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Edgar from Akron, OH. I live in Portage Lakes (Coventry Twp.) and fish the Bad Bass Champs tournament trail. My favorite lakes are Portage Lakes, Mosquito Lake and the Black River/Lake Erie. I fish out of a 2004 Triton 196LE w/ a Mercury 200 EFI. I mostly focus on active fish with Crankbaits. I would love to work on my jig skills for those not so active days. Quote
Sfritr Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I would encourage all of you to go to the toolbar near the top of the page and click on the Member Map on the far right. zoom in on the map and place a pin near your home area. It is always good to see where other members are located in case you may need to pick up a rider or are looking for local lake advice when traveling to a new lake. As I posted previously, I am in Lebanon, Oh at Shake Run. I fish at least once a week so if anyone is looking to head out let me know. BTW, I just fished yesterday and the fall bite is in full swing, we slayed em..... Quote
emowens Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 My name is Ethan and I live in Centerville, a souther suburb of Dayton. I'm a bit all over the Dayton area - lots of municipal ponds (unfortunately), and the metro parks around Dayton. Each spring I go down to Dale Hollow to hopefully land the next big world record smallie. I'm always looking for new fishing spots or to connect. My dad and I river fish a decent amount, but two grandkids has kept him busy, so I've lost any semblance of a fishing partner. 1 Quote
JG233 Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Way to revive this thread @emowens! I'm out in Athens, OH for the next few years (except for the summers). I'm in the first year of my PhD at OU. I'm hoping to get my kayak out on the water at least once a week until it gets too cold. Quote

ZebcoZak Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Name is Zak and live in Gahanna, 10 minutes east of Columbus. I typically fish out of my 1648 Jon on Hoover and Alum. Also like to wade up and down Big Walnut and Alum Creek whenever I have some time. Looking to learn the bass population of Hoover a little better this year. And want to catch my first reservoir musky out of Alum. I have caught a few wading below the reservoir, but nothing in the open water. Quote
