I was looking to go up to Candlewood lake in CT this weekend and I was wondering what technique or lures work best here..Im looking to catch some nice big large mouths maybe some smallies what would you suggest?

Jerkbaits and hair jigs. I was thinking of going myself. I have a tournament there Thurs and Fri. Weather looks nasty for Sat. Don't know if it's worth the 2hr ttrip.
