Did some ice fishing Sunday afternoon. It was windy as hell, and the bite was slow. In 4 hours I saw a pike and 2 bass come through the ice in addition to my one crappie. There were 8 guys fishing on this 75 acre pond. Slow day. I was cutting 7 inches of ice.

Hopefully I'll be out there again soon now that it's Christmas Vacation. And by the way, Merry Christmas to everyone in NH!

Oh we can beat that.

I haven't been posting much lately but may need to up the numbers.

As far as fishing goes. Not much to say. Boats put away, rods are on the wall, and I hate the cold and ice

Oh we can sooo beat that guys. I had no idea that this would still be an active thread. It just goes to show we here in NH are avid fishermen who take it seriously. Great job, and Happy Holidays to everyone and their families. :(:D:)

fmoore, where were you cutting 7 inches of ice?  I live in southern NH and am thinking about getting out, but haven't seen anyone out on our local ice.  Just curious what part of the state you were in.

I was on my small pond a couple times, and actually to my surprise, there were 3 guys out there already! I have never seen anyone else fish this place, but get 6" of ice, and the place is mobbed! Gotta do something in these winters to get through.

You probably don't want to "beat" it.  That thread has had many, many problems with data corruption because it's so big.  So if you want this thread to "blow up" and everything lost, keep posting away.  Otherwise, start a new one.

Thank for letting us know about that.  I don't think anyone knew there were data issues with the threads on this board.

I had a decent time at the Show. Got to see and chat with Mark Zona for a few. That was really cool. Saw some friends from NBS at their booth and the people at the Talons/Falconry exhibit. Had a good day.

Something came up and i couldn't make it Friday, i went Saturday. I had a good time, got to listen to Tim Horton speak witch was interesting. It also helped the cabin fever to get out talk to some guys about fishing and buy some new lures.

Man watching the Classic this past weekend has really got me into the urge to get out on the water. Was about to start taking apart and cleaning my reels but then I looked at the pile and was like yea that can wait for latter. How are the rest of you holding up? Any of you been out Ice Fishing? I have once we did OK.

Meeting Mark Zona must have been cool. I was out of town for the weekend and could not make it to the show.

I do have a Question for you all. Since alot of places in NewEngland are not big enough to have the massive detailed maps of current channels, etc like alot of the pros lakes.

Whats everyones "best" way to get info from the lakes/rivers besides just driving around with your electronics?

I don't know of any other way to do it, other than get input from others who have fished the lake.  Fortunately, most lakes around here are not all that big, so it doesn't take too long to figure out what's going on.
