wagn Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Got out for about 6 hours today with my buddy Dunphy. The first 3 were a bust and we couldn't catch anything. Decided to take a break for lunch. After lunch we tried again and the fish finally started to turn on. I ended up with 8 and Dunphy got 4. Most of the fish were between 1.5-2lbs with the largest being 2lbs 6oz. The water temp was 59 degrees and pretty windy. Most of the fish were caught on spinnerbaits. Hope everyone else is having a some luck on the water. Quote
wagn Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 This is from a couple of trips ago but my friend finally got me those vids of the 4lber and 5lb 13oz fish I caught off the same tree. I figured I'd post them here. and the larger one Enjoy!! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted October 4, 2009 Super User Posted October 4, 2009 Hey guys. I was thinkin'. We should have a gathering somewhere we could all hook up, run our boats good one last time and get in a little fishing before we put up the boats for the year. I have a back seat open to any non boater who wants in, and I'm sure between us all, we could come up with a location that works for everyone. Not to mention a cool outing, some of us could meet each other face to face, and it'd be kinda cool. What do ya think? Quote
nashua fisherman Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 count me and the wife in. we were suppossed to have a tournament earlyer this year but it got cancelled. was really looking forward to it. Quote
unhbass37 Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 I would say yes, But my time is very limited now. Have fun guys. Quote
NH_Bass_Tard Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Hey guys. I haven't been on in awhile, but Im all caught up on everything I've missed. Congrats on all the nice bass you guys have been pullin in. I've only had a chance to get a couple times in the past month and have not faired well. I wanna try and get a some more days in before it starts to get really cold. What strategies are you guys trying for the fall? Quote
Super User Shane J Posted October 4, 2009 Super User Posted October 4, 2009 Awww... c'mon. There must be a time for you to take out the Tracker for some gettin' it on! Quote
unhbass37 Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Shane I will try. Let me know what day you plan on going. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted October 5, 2009 Super User Posted October 5, 2009 I have some flexibility, so whatever works for everyone else. Saturdays or Mondays would be best for me probably Quote
unhbass37 Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Yeah I just will need the times. I just may be able to swing it. I also say we all hit a place where no one fishes alot. Maybe in search of some smallmouth... Quote
wagn Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 I tried to set that up earlier in the year with a tournament and due to water level problems at the river I had to cancel last minute. I still feel kinda bad about that. I'd be up for getting together if I it's a day I can get off. Quote
wagn Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 On another Note. I've got an open seat in my boat from around 10am to 2 or 3pm tomorrow if someone wants to go fishing in Goffstown. Just send me a PM and let me know. Thanks Quote
llPa1nll Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Hey Guys, I was able to get out yesterday. Not a full day as I came in and watched the Patriots game and then went out again afterward. The absolute weirdest thing happened to me on about the 5th cast of the day throwing some topwater out on a flat. I had a 16-18in Rainbow Trout come up and hit my Zara Spook I hooked up and got him in. I have had Brown Trout hit my bass lures but I dont think I have hooked up with a Rainbow Trout especially on a 5in Zara Spook. Anyway I got bit nothing special I caught probably 8 or so. Nothing seemed to be the go too lure. However the soft plastics seemed to be where it was at. As I didnt get a bite on any search type baits. Anyway hope you guys pulled in some freight. Quote

unhbass37 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I think they want to take the bass boats before they store them away for do I dare say WINTER. > I will take either or depending on the place, But I think targeting smallies will be a fun quest. Quote

Super User Shane J Posted October 6, 2009 Super User Posted October 6, 2009 Yeah, I was hoping to get out with my bass boat, so at least a decent sized place. That Rocky Pond sounds... rocky. I am down for some smallies, however. Let's make it happen! Quote
unhbass37 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 You won't want to take that Nitro to Rocky Pond. I'm sure we can all find a good lake to try. Quote

jaystraw Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Hey everyone Got out on Sunday at a smallie pond in Hillsboro. Fished from 12-4 and only caught 3 fish. 2 were good sized smallies, and one was a MONSTER pickeral. I have no idea how much it weighed, but it was big enough to scare me. Maybe a little over 3 1/2 pounds? Everything was caught on senkos...nothing else was working, and I tried everything! Quote
wagn Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Got out yesterday on the river. Caught 5 bass, 2 pickeral and a perch. Everything was on spinnerbaits. Couldn't get a bite on anything else. Largest was 2lbs 8oz. Tight lines. Quote
fmoore Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Hey all. Just wanted to say hi. Just joined here. I'm 16 and live in Keene. I fish the CT River 4-5 times a week including tournies on the weekends. The smallie bite is great right now! Last time out was yesterday. Caught 8 in 2 hours after school (1 on spinnerbait, 3 on grub, 4 on drop shot) and lost 2 and missed 2 on the drop shot. Biggest was the spinnerbait fish at maybe 2-8? The smallies were on a flat pushing bait up on the surface as I was running back to the ramp. Too bad I had to get home. That topwater bite is exciting, hopefully I can get it going tomorrow!
