wagn Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Great Catch nhBassin. I'm amazed at the size and quality of the fish that we've all been catching this year. That's the 3rd or 4th 7lber I've seen on this board I believe. I don't even want to try and count the 5's and 6's. UNH...Check with Pain to be sure, But i'm 99% sure Corbetts is a town only lake. You can only use the ramp if you have a sticker or something. I've only been out on Pain's boat and he lives right next to the lake Quote

I dont think the town launch is open now. After the life gaurds are no longer there, Im not sure how that works though. Quote
unhbass37 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Thanks, I thought it was public. Beach is anyway. Quote

I dont think anyone will give you a hard time this late in the season but I wouldnt try it in the middle of the summer. Quote
Nashua-River-Rat Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Last night I took my flat bottom boat in Mill Pond. The millfoil has come down alot so its much more fishable now. I caught two 1lb LMB in the canal and a 3lb LMB waaaay off the edge in a patch of millfoil. I lost a few big ones in the sticks along the canal. Those darn fish are smart!! Well not really, considering they chase plastic and rubber around! haha I ran out of light, but they seemed very active. I will try again tonight or maybe this afternoon before the cold weather comes. Quote
unhbass37 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Ya thats my home pond as I call it. There are some 4 and 5 pounders in there, But I don't think there are any bigger. I weigh all my fish. Sometimes they look bigger then they are. Nashua Fisherman caught a nice one in april there, But he only thinks it was 5 pounds. My boys and I have have killed there all season, But I'm looking to find some new water to fish. Good luck. Quote
NHBassfishing Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 At Mill pond I know you can shore fish from the right of the launch almost all they way around to the dam.. But if I go left of the launch, is there any shore fishing in the canal or is the millfoil and lillys in the way..? Quote
unhbass37 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Yes you can walk all the way to the canel. The milfoil is not as bad now so you should be able to fish it. Nashua fisherman has done ok in the canel. Good luck let us know how you do. Quote
Nashua-River-Rat Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Mill Pond again tonight from 4:30 to dark...they were biting right off the bat but did not get my first until about 6pm. I caught a 2lb and 3lb LMB in the middle of the pond in the millfoil crap and a dinky maaaaaybe 1lb but probably 3/4 lb LMG on the edge right before you get to the canal. I am very surprised at how active the fish are in there now. If you have a boat....stick to the middle around the edges of the weed beds...the bigger ones seem to hang out there. Red Worms are still working!! I love my red shad culprits. Quote
unhbass37 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Nice job river rat. I will be back at it tommorow somewhere. Took a break for a few days. Needed to get stuff done around the house. Â Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Looks like you guys have been getting after them real well. Doubt I'll be getting out this weekend but will be after them next weekend. Tight lines all. Quote

I won't get out this weekend as my son is in another hockey jamboree, But maybe next weekend or during the week. Let me know if your interested. Derek Sounds good Derek although work is pretty busy and it would have to be on a weekend. We can figure something out. I got out yesterday and it was another tough day landed 7 but it was tough work. Water temp was 61*F I figured fall patterns and again I struck out. The aggressive ones were still on summer patterns and very picky about biting. I scrapped together some on a different jig and some soft plastic but it wasnt easy. Hope you all had better luck than I did. Quote
wagn Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Got out today for a couple of hours at my parent's river before work. I caught 6 with the largest being a smallie a litte over 2lbs. My Dad got 5 with the largest being a beautiful 3lb 14oz smallie. Bite was slow. the fish seemed to be pretty shallow, but on flats far off the bank in most cases. I'll post a pic later if I get a chance Quote
jaystraw Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Yeah, I got outthis weekend and it was a little slow. Caught 3 largemouth and a pickeral in 2 hours of fishing early Friday morning at Upper Pond in Henniker. They were biting senkos, but I had the best luck on a black and blue KVD swim jig with a GY crawdad trailer. Went out for a few hours yesterday. Did OK, only catching 1 smallmouth. Water temp was close to 62 degrees and the fish were not too happy about that and extremely high pressure/no clouds. Tight lines everyone! Quote
wagn Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Here's a pic of the smallie my Dad caught We caught it just as we were landing the boat and calling it a day. What a fish to end on Quote
baboosicbass08 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Wow nice smallie congrats to your dad Quote
wagn Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Thanks Baboosic. Got out again this morning for 3 hours before work. We caught 19 I think. Most were all around 1 lb except for a 2lb 1oz smallie and a 2lb 10oz Largemouth. The fish were all on large weedbed flats near a deeper channel. basically i just fished a senko all morning Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 Nice Pics Wagn. Good job putting your Dad  on some pig Smallies. Quote
jaystraw Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Nice fish for your dad wagn...dang! My buddy and I got out two days ago at a small pond in Sutton that's loaded with bass. Â We probably caught 20 each within 3 hours. Â It was non-stop action on anything I tied on, except a jig. Â Senkos, tubes, crankbaits, jerkbaits, spinners, grubs...everything. The biggest was probably just around 2 pounds, but it wwas fun to catch a lot of fish in a short time, even if a lot were small. Good luck everyone! Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 Nice outing Jaystraw reminds me of a lil beaver pit pond I used to fish up in Epping off of 125. Nothing really as big as 2lbs but wow the amount of fish you could catch was ridiculous. Good luck and tight lines this weekend all. Quote
jaystraw Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Yeah, I love those types of ponds early in the spring, and later in the fall when I'm desperate and need a quick fix Got out yesterday to a pond in Newbury and did well. Caught a lot of largemouth, and a few smalies. Nothing over 2.5 pounds, but it was cnice to be out there. Â Most fish were caught on senkos and a KVD green pumpkin swim jig with a crawdad trailer. Â Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 Hey all, well I got out yesterday with the wind and rain. I got on some fish and landed me some decent fish in the process. I thought for sure I was going to have a killer day on topwater. Unfortunately that never manifested into a legit pattern, I only boated 2 on topwater. I didnt get much on the Jig, mainly the bulk of my fish came on the ball head jig and small soft plastics. I had some limited success with Spinnerbaits, Jerkbaits. Notable fish of the day (2.5-3lb SM, 3lb LM), I boated probably 15-18 fish 10am-6pm. Hope you all had a decent day as I did, tight lines. Quote
Nashua-River-Rat Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I went to Flints Pond in Hollis on Saturday from about 3pm to 6:30pm. I caught a 3lb LMB and half caught (LOL, those darn lily pads) 2 that seemed to be decent. It's tough pulling those darn fish out of the lily pads. It was windy and cool closer to dark, but the fish seemed active. That place is weird to fish...the places you swear has to have fish don't! I was fishing in places I would never thought would have some fish, but they were biting. I am off to the Nashua River now on my buddy's boat. We are headed down to Hollis since I can't go that far with my flat boat. I will update you all later. Quote
