NH_Bass_Tard Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Went out yesterday and caught 5 bass. I had one on that I believe would have gave my personal best a run for its money. When I first set the it felt as though I was snagged on the bottom and then it took off. It was pulling the drag out and bending the rod hard. I got it close to the boat and was ready to pull her in and she shook off the hook. So now it goes in history as a fish story. I also caught a 3lb 1oz and 4lb 0oz. Here they are: Quote
wagn Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 nice fish BassTard. Here's a vid that my buddy made of us fishing yesterday Quote
unhbass37 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Nice fish Bass tard. Caught 5 today myself. Biggest was 2lbs 7oz on the senkos. All fish were over a pound so it was a good day. Quote
NH_Bass_Tard Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 wagn, that video was funny. The place I went to was in Francestown also it's called Pleasant Pond. Quote
jaystraw Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Nice job guys! I've been to Pleasant Pond (actually wagn and I went there near the end of the year two years ago). I've had great days there, and then not so great days. That's fishing I guess. :-) Got out today myself and caught smallies in all modes of spawn...some on beds and some in post spawn mode. crazy day. Quote
baboosicbass08 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Got out today for a few hours with a few friends and had a pretty decent morning but the bite died down after a while, We each ended up getting a few pretty decent sized bass earlier on before i grabbed the camera from shore(it was a pain to walk around in the waders all the way back to where the tackleboxes where) but I ended up grabbing the camera after awhile and of course after I get the camera only one more fish was caught which was the pickeral I caught below. unhbass37 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Sounds like a good day of fishing. Where did you go? Quote
baboosicbass08 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Thanks yea it was a pretty good day the smallest bass caught was still probably just shy of 2 lbs, it was at a private pond I went to with one of my friends who knows one of the landowners, next time I go I'll be sure to have the camera with me the whole time Quote
unhbass37 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Took my youngest son out today and this is his first bass of the year. 4lbs 11oz. She was a beauty. He did most of it himself till she spun the boat around he got scared and I gave him a little help. I was very proud of him. Quote
jaystraw Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 I'm pretty sure that fish is bigger than him. He had good reason to be scared. Nice job!!!! Quote
unhbass37 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 You would not beleive this, But my oldest asked to fishing tonight and I said sure so off we went. He usually does not like to go. Well he caught a HAWG this was 5lbs 7oz with a Jig. This one was done all by himself (He is 12 years old). I have never had such a good day fishing with the family. This was his personal best. Quote
baboosicbass08 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Thats awesome unhbass...both your sons have bigger pb's than me haha, whered you guys go if you don't mind saying Quote
unhbass37 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Thanks. Check your PM's. We have been doing well lately. I slowed my fishing down alot and it has helped. I think the spawn is all messed up because both of those bass my boys caught were females loaded with eggs. I would of figured it would be over by now. Hope you all get a chance to get out there any catch some big ones yourselfs. Quote
NH_Bass_Tard Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Wow nice fish! The kids have all the luck. Quote
jaystraw Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Me and a friend went out smallie fishing last night. Not a lot of action, but I did land a nice 2.5 pound smallie and this 2 pound 7 oz Brown Trout on a BPS sticko! My first Brown Trout ever, and she did go back in the water and swam off just fine. Went out today to Pleasant Pond in Henniker and did pretty well. Nothing over 2.5 pounds, but pretty good action all morning until the storms came. Have a good weekend everyone! Quote
unhbass37 Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Nice trout Jay. I have yet to catch a trout, Hope soon. Good luck this weekend if you get out. Quote
wagn Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Wow Jay! That's a beautiful fish. Got out today with Bassmaster6 on the river. The water was real low. Apparently they are fixing something on the dam and it will be up again soon. Today was the first time all season I've been skunked. Bassmaster managed 4 fish. one was a nice 2lber on a frog. I really didn't mind not catching fish it was just nice to be out on the water in some sun for once. We got off the water just in time before the rain started Quote

kayakbill Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Here are a couple of pics i snapped today It has been tough in that part of the reservoir I have had better luck In the part closer to the dam. Quote
NHfroggin Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 is that millfoil in the second pic? yeahh that is milfoil, it gets thick in some spots on the river. -matt- Quote
unhbass37 Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 Caught only 3 today, But man was the bite very slow. Biggest was 2lbs 13oz. I'll take it considering the day. There were 4 boats out there and many shore fisherman so that may have been the reason LOL. Quote
rippin_lips Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 Just got back from a weekend in Errol fishing lake Umbagog. Caught 45 fish with my dad, the biggest were just shy of 3#. Most were caught on senkos and grubs fished around rocks, weeds or wood. I still haven't found the real big bass in that lake, but the numbers make it worth the trip. Overall it was an awesome weekend with my dad. Quote
