wagn Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Got out today. Weather was nasty 49 degres, rainy and windy, with the water at 63. THe fish actually felt warm when you pulled them out. Had a great day though. I caught 14 bass, 5 pickeral and 10 perch. The perch were huge. I kept thinking they were bass. My buddy did well also but I can't remember his numbers. If you can stand the cold the fishing seems to be pretty good right now. Today was the first day I've ever really gotten on a good lipless crank bite. Quote
jaystraw Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Nice job wagn! I'm gonna have to brave the weather and get out tomorrow for a few. Good luck this weekend everyone. Quote
unhbass37 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Had a great day out at the pond today. I went out after the rain. I caught 7 in all. All Bass to. ;D Most were right a 1lbs, But I did catch a 3lbs 15oz female on a Senko. I also used a Jig. I did lose one big hawg (line broke). I would say it was at least 5+, But it don't count because I did not touch it. LOL. Here are a couple of picture of the bigger ones. Quote
jaystraw Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Nice fish!! I got out today and did pretty well. I caught about 10 smallies and abut 15 largemouth. I caught most on senkos and inline spinners. good day, but it got real windy and I left earlier than usual...around 2pm. Nothing big, only one that was about 3 lbs. I did notice that most of the reall shallow water beds are gone, but the deeper ones are still there. Quote
wagn Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Got out today from 7am-11:30 am. It was a pretty weird day. I ended up with 11 fish but six different specieds. I caught 3 LM's, 2 smallies, 2 pickeral, 2 Crappie, 1 yellow perch and 1 white perch. I don't think I've ever caught 6 different species in the same day before. I've also never caught a white perch or a Crappie this big before. Here's the white perch Here's the Crappie And here's one of the LM's I caught. They were all about this size Quote
unhbass37 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Nice wagn. Sounds like a good day. I went out today and caught 11 myself, But all LMB. Here are a few pictures. I did catch two 3 pounders which was cool. Quote
nashua fisherman Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 where is everybody catching there fish? we went and checked out scobie pond in londonderry yesterday for the first time but it was too windy and we got aggravated and went home. we went to visit my parents in hampstead today so we stopped by balard pond in derry along the way and shore fished but had no luck. we also checked out great pond in kingston and fished from the park side. had a couple bites from the shore but it started raing heavy and the park police(?) sent us home. unhbass37 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I have doing really well at Robinson, Nashua river, Horseshoe (Merrimack) & Mill. Wind is tough to fish in But they are catchable. Quote

NH_Bass_Tard Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Hey guys, I went out yesterday and was only able to catch some pickerel and perch. It was the first time I have been out in the past 3 weeks. Have the majority of bass already spawned or are they still spawning? Quote
wagn Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Glad to hear things are okay Pain. Get out on the water, jigs have been the key for me lately. Hay Bass_tard, I'm finding the majority of my fish are in post spawn. It depends on the lake of course. I've been seeing a water temp difference of over 8 degrees depending on the lake. Got out yesterday and caught a couple more. So far it's been a great season. I can only hope the summer is as productive as the spring has been Quote
NH_Bass_Tard Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I caught this fish about 3 years and never really knew what it was. I did not know much about fishing and assumed it was a trout. It's obviously not a trout, so can anyone identify it? It's the only one I've ever caught. Quote
nashua fisherman Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I'm pretty sure tht's a creek chub. yup. seen plenty in beaver brook. type of sucker Quote
wagn Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I'm pretty sure tht's a creek chub. yup. seen plenty in beaver brook. type of sucker I'm always amazed at how many different species of fish are in the waters all around me. I've never seen one of those before. Quote
NH_Bass_Tard Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I did a little research and found the creek chub and I definitley thought that's what it was. But i noticed the creek chub has rounded fins, whereas the fins on this fish are more pointed. But it is definitley a sucker. The weird thing is, I caught this fish on a jig and it litterally took the bait as soon as it broke the surface. These are some pics of creek chubs I found online, to me they look different. Quote
wagn Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Got out today with my Dad and some friends for a bragging rights ad hoc tourney. Biggest fish wins $50. Man I had the best day ever. I Caught a my largest bass ever (tied my other PB) 7lbs 1z. I caught over 20 fish and my final 5 fish bag weighed 19.2 lbs. I've never had such an amazing day on the water. If you haven't guessed it yet I won the tourney and the $50 for biggest fish. Here are a couple of pics. 2 largest 7lbs 1oz and 4lbs 10oz 19.2lbs total Quote
