llPa1nll Posted December 11, 2006 Author Posted December 11, 2006 Well its finaly come to this I went out today in super cold conditions and well I did catch 1 2lb bass, Im calling it a season. I was out on Canobie Lake. We started the day out with Frigid water 33.8°F eventually warmed upto 35 °F. I snapped this pic of my Graph thought you guys might enjoy it. Quote
llPa1nll Posted December 20, 2006 Author Posted December 20, 2006 Hey guys, Yea, you read the topic right. Simply put we had to break through 2-3 inches of Ice at the launch to get out and fish the main lake. Friday the 15th, I backed my truck into the ice to help break it up for our trip out on the water Saturday the 16th. With that done we were able to have m friend get his Tracker out and break some more Ice up that allowed me to get my Nitro afloat to finish the job and break a way to the main lake. Air temp at the time of launch was 37°F warmed upto 48°F, water temperature stayed constant all day at 35.4°F. Here are some pics of us getting out on the water via my camera phone. We had a great day 3 of us went out I caught 4, and the friends caught 6 and 7 respectively. Whats that saying? Never give up!?! Quote

Vroom22 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 [/color/ A quick Hey to all the Bass fisherman in NH. I am new to NH and have never fished the lakes up here. I moved here from Houston, TX 2 years ago, because of a crazy exhusband, so now I am ready to start fishing the NH waters. I live in the Kingston area and I would like to know which are the best lakes to fish in my area. I love to BASS fish, and I have never caught a small mouth bass since there aren't many in Texas. Would anyone mind giving me some places to start? Quote
llPa1nll Posted March 16, 2007 Author Posted March 16, 2007 We have some Great local waters to fish here in the Southeastern part of the state. The Powow River right by you for one. My best luck for smallies is the Merrimack River and Canobie Lake. Quote
Yakfish Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Hey Vroom, welcome aboard! There's a lot of good fishing here in NH and I can't wait to check out more of our local waters myself. Now if we could just get rid of all this d**n ice! > Quote
llPa1nll Posted March 16, 2007 Author Posted March 16, 2007 Hey Vroom, welcome aboard! There's a lot of good fishing here in NH and I can't wait to check out more of our local waters myself. Now if we could just get rid of all this d**n ice! > Amen to that NHguy, First we need to get rid of the snow that we will be getting today and tomorrow. It seems like it will be April for us this year. Quote
Yakfish Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Yeah, definitely looking like an April start. We got a little over a foot of the white stuff the other day and the Souhegan has frozen back over in my neighborhood. Picked up my license today and now it's back to the waiting game. Quote
llPa1nll Posted March 19, 2007 Author Posted March 19, 2007 Well I went by the launches of Cobbets and Canobie lakes both are snow covered and Iced in still. I am guessing most in the southern NH area got around 12in of snow on average. This is brutal that it has to come so late and push back the Ice out days on our local lakes... Quote
