KlubbaT Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Hey NHBassfishing. I do a lot of fishing from shore myself. I know a few good spots for it. I fish with soft plastics 85% of the time. Love the Fat Ika. Saturday is my main fishing day but am also free Fridays. Have you ever been over to Tower Hill Pond in Auburn? Has anyone on here gotten the new Clark's guide? Worth upgrading? unhbass37 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 There's a new one? I'll have to pick one up. Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 Hey guys, Was out on the water on Sunday this past weekend on my home lake of Cobbetts. The day started of with some pretty strong winds, the water temps have cooled down into the 68°F zone. Wind blown banks and fast moving lures put some fish in the boat. However soon as that wind died down it was a struggle to get fish in the boat. Ended up dead sticking soft plastics in 10-15ft of water on sharp drop offs. Nothing big, all 1-2lbers I did manage to boat 12 and lost a few. My friend was in the back of the boat only managed 3, 8am to 4pm. Hope you guys are sticking them. Tight lines all. Quote
unhbass37 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Sounds like a great day llPa1nll. Glad to see you getting back out there. Quote
unhbass37 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Got out again around 9am this morning and caught 7 bass and one big yellow perch. Biggest bass was a nice 4 lbs 8 oz. Another great day on the water. Here is a picture. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted September 8, 2009 Super User Posted September 8, 2009 Nice fish, UNH! That looks like a pretty cool little rig you're fishing out of there. Quote
unhbass37 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Thanks Shane. It not the best think in the world, But I have caught a ton of fish in it . I would rather fish from my tracker though. Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 Nice fish UNH. Was a fair day but as Wagn will attest thats kind of a poor day out on that lake. There was no jig bite which was a disappointment. I was hoping with the cooler nights that the fall feed bag would have been on full blast, not the case I found. Look forward to getting out again soon. Tight lines all. Quote
wagn Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I've had the same problem that last to trips out to Pain. I feel like I should be fishing a fall bite but is just doesn't seem to be there yet. Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 11, 2009 Author Posted September 11, 2009 Yea, maybe we are getting ahead of ourselves a bit. Well I wasnt to sure of what I was going to find on the lake especially since it was treated for Milfoil this year. I noticed the fish are a lil skinnier than usual possibly from not having as many ambush points. The fall bite will be on, and I will be there to get it! Tight lines all. Quote
wagn Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Well I went back to my summer pattern and it really payed off. Here's the first that weighed 4lb 1oz and the second weighed in at a hefty 5lb 13oz. Here's 2 pics And as it's been all summer, jigs are my friend. My buddy has video of the fish too. I'l try and post it once I get it from him Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 11, 2009 Author Posted September 11, 2009 Wow! Great day Wagn! You sure found them. Good Job finding that Jig Bite. What I tell you about that Jig. Fish it and they will come. Quote
unhbass37 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Nice Fish wagn. Where did you catch them at? Quote
Super User Shane J Posted September 11, 2009 Super User Posted September 11, 2009 Good job out there, Wagn! Nice fish! Quote
baboosicbass08 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Those are some BIG fish, great job Chuck Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 Got out on the lake on Sunday, with marginal success. Some bites were short and shallow but as soon as that sun started to peak out and the temps came up things shut down rather quickly. I tried various soft plastics and jigs, no wind didnt help for a SB CB bite. Tried some of my top water as well with a few swirls. After the half day I landed 5, not bad but not great either. Quote
llPa1nll Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 Wow, just realized that we are on the verge of hitting 1000 replies on this thread. Only took nearly 3 years since I started it too. Great job and a big thanks for making this a great thread on NH fishing guys. Good Job! Quote
jaystraw Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Nice hawgs wagn! I've only gotten out a couple times over the past three weeks. nhbassin Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Nice fish wagn! I went out fishing from shore this past Saturday just north of the lakes region and reeled in my personal best 7 pound 1 ounce Largemouth using a black 3/8 oz spinner bait. Ive been jealous of all the monsters you guys have been posting so far this year, but now I finally am posting one of my own:) Quote
