wagn Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Glad you had a good time bassmaster. It really was a learning experience for me to. I really had to work on my patience and work that one spot. A few years ago I would have just thrown a few casts at the tree and moved on. Of course a few years ago I wasn't catching 4lb plus fish. And what happened with the truck? did you get a trade in anything? Quote
NHfroggin Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Wagn, i went to look for a new car friday afternoon/night, while driving on 495 at 70mph, tire blows out, ended up being the tie rod end, fixed that this morning now im deff. going to find one  will post later how i made out -matt- Quote
NHfroggin Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Went to just about every ford, chevy, toyota dealer in southern NH in the past three days, this is how i made out. Chevy Colorado- found one $31,000, for a mid size pick up!! Ford Ranger- still gets 14 mpg city will not qualify for cash for clunkers Toyota Tacoma- Found one for $20,000, and that dealer is not participating in cash for clunkers. Car shopping sucks, looks like ill be driving the ranger for a little while longer.. **sorry about the off topic post** -matt- Quote
llPa1nll Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 Hey Guys, Real life has been hampering me with getting out on the water as of late. However have been out on Canobie recently with some good results nothing big to write home about but some quality fish  in the 2-3lb range. I see most of you are putting some quality fish in the boat. I hope Cabelas finally gets my onboard charger to me sooner rather than later. Well Good Luck and Tight Lines all. Quote
wagn Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Got out today on Hopkington Lake. Basically just pitching jigs and compact tubes all day. My buddy got Skunked and I only caught three but one was a nice 4lb 1oz fish. Hey Pain let me know if you want to get together for a trip out sometime. If your boats running that's cool. But your always welcome on mine also. Here's a pic of the fish. Quote
jaystraw Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 NIce fish wagn! I got out today at a little pond in Sutton. Did great catching numerous 2-3 pound fish all morning. Biggest were a 4 pound 3 oz lagemouth (pictured) and a new PB smallie at 3 pounds 2 oz (pictured). All fish were caught on senkos and lizards on a jig head in deeper water around boulders. Great morning of fishing!! Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Nice fish guys, Got out tonight for about 1hrs and I caught 3 Bass. Biggest was 6lbs 12oz (My new PB) and a nice 2lbs 10oz and a 1lbs 13oz. All fish were caught on senkos (love that WORM). Here is a video and a pictures. I know in the video I sound retarted, But I was VERY excited. And I know I said he was a monster, But I meant SHE. I only wish I had someone there to help with the picture/video, But you get the point. Yes she was safety released to be caught again by some other lucky fisherman. Â Â Quote
wagn Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Great Fish Jay!! You've really been slaying them this year. What kind of jig-head are you fishing around the boulders? is it an exposed head or are you fishing a football head with a weedguard? UNHbass...congrats on the New PB It's been a heck of a year for for NH fisherman this year Quote
jaystraw Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 WOW! Nice fish UNH!!! Very impressive! I do not think we saw a six pound + fish all year last year on this board (maybe you had one wagn??), and this year we've had wagn's 7 pounder, my 6 pound 13 oz and now your 6 pound 12 oz'er. Awesome! I've been using a round, exposed jig head. No weedguard or anything like that, but I'm considering getting some with a guard so I can fish more effectively around the weeds. Also, I have not lost a jig head in the rocks or like I expected. It's pretty easy to pop off of rocks when it gets hung up. Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Thanks Boys. This has been my best year ever. I agree NH is doing really well this year. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted August 16, 2009 Super User Posted August 16, 2009 Since we're on the subject of NH doing well... Last Monday I caught a 7lb even Largemouth on a 10" Anaconda. One oz shy of my personal best of 7lb 1oz, caught about 6 weeks ago. Never have I caught the fish that I have this year, size and numbers. I cant get enough! Quote
llPa1nll Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 Sounds good Wagn, We will have to plan an outing. I hope to get out this weekend, I need it. I have an onboard charger on back order since 7/16, Cabelas is taking forever. Quote
jaystraw Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Nice hawg Shane! Me and my friend Matt got out on Friday morning for a while. Great fishing and I caught a 3 lb 2 oz smallie on a senko off of a big rock. Beautiful fat fish that put upa great fight. Here's a pic: edited to add: got out this AM and dd great on senkos, creature baits and a new brand of senko that's made in Hancock NH called "Kirbooter" baits. The tckle store was out of senkos in green pumpkin, but they had those. I'm very impressed. Really soft plastic, and casts just like a senko. Sadly, they are not much more durable, but they were what I caught the 4 lb'er above on. Quote
NHfroggin Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Nice Fish everyone!! I have been going out from about 5-8 30 and doing very good, before sunset its senko's and when the sun starts to go down top water poppers have been working great, a couple good 3lbrs, here are some pics. matt Quote

NHBassfishing Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I just found this forum today and joined immediately.. I currently shore fish as I have no boat.. If anyone wants to shore fish or has an extra spot on a boat let me know, and I'll join ya..!! I fish with mainly senkos.. If those aren't working I switch to live bait and use shiners.. Â Anyone have any good spots to shore fish in S. NH..? Quote
unhbass37 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 First off welcome. In southern NH I know of one only real good spot and that is Mill Pond in Nashua, But it is unfishable now unless you have a boat. The Milfoil is very thick, But you can pretty much walk all the way around the pond. Check out the thread I started also ANY LUCK IN SOUTHERN NH YET. These two threads are the best for NH that is. wagn Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Welcome to the forum NHbassfishing. You'll find alot of great guys on this site. I head out often during the week and sometimes have an open seat. If you get a thursday or friday free let me know. If you haven't done so already pick up Clarks fishing guide for NH. It's the best way to find good water in the state. Quote
