fishing4fun Posted January 7, 2007 Author Posted January 7, 2007 Will the exposed bend in the hook take away from the weedless application at all? Quote
Cajun Caster Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 "Will the exposed bend in the hook take away from the weedless application at all? " No. I've been using these hooks (3/0 for worms and creature baits, 4/0 for plastic frogs) and these things are working "as advertised". I've been casting into weed beds and slop and the plastic is lasting a lot longer. The reason is, as stated above, the extra bend not only keeps the plastic from sliding down, but it also puts pressure on the plastic and this keeps the point from moving around and enlarging the hole in the business end of the hook and plastic. fishinman Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Everything Cajun Caster said is true, you can fish your baits hard and this hook will hold your bait and not let it slide down. I think the new bend helps in the weedless applications if anything. I have used them on thick baits and skinny ones, works great on all. Quote
fishing4fun Posted January 7, 2007 Author Posted January 7, 2007 What is the gage of the hook? Is it like the EWG or the super braid hooks? Thanks Again Quote
fishinman Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 The diameter of the hook wire is the same as the standard EWG in each size. Maybe they will come out with a thicker wire diameter like the superline series later on.. Quote
