nashua fisherman Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 i couldnt wait to get the raider so i went out and bought a 10' grumman jon. all the seams are welded. the guy painted it over the weekend and gave me the leftover paint. theres no cracks or repairs anywhere. the transom is real solid. i need to buy new seat brackets to mount my seats still and i treated myself to a new set of straps. paid $200. got the same for mine and this ones in way better shape. wagn Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Awesome. Getting an all-welded boat is key. There's something about small boats in OD green that I just love. I think I've got a short pedestal laying around somewhere which you can use if you want to raise your seats up a little bit. It looks like this one- http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=netcon&id=0013302016082a&navCount=1&podId=0013302&parentId=cat21336&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IK&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat21336&hasJS=true If I can find it and you want it let me know. Super User Shane J Posted October 10, 2009 Super User Posted October 10, 2009 Nice boat, man. That thing is like new. I have the exact same thing, and I love it. Quote
LMBRadar Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Nice boat! what kind of car you putting it up on? Quote
Steve_in_Maine Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Do you use a trolling motor with it? I've seen some people who make a platform in the front using the middle seat and the front seat with wood planks screwed down to them. Boat looks in great condition, and for $200 it's a hell of a deal. Steve Quote

Steve thanks. i plan on using the one i used with my old boat(32#mk hand control) on the back until i can find a deal on a used foot controled one. got a 2.2hp mercury for the back too. Quote
unhbass37 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 That thing looks BRAND new. Nice deal kid. Quote
nashua fisherman Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 thanks again guys. probably wont try a pedastal till the waters warmer. first priority after gettint the seats mounted is finding a used foot controled trolling motor. Quote

baboosicbass08 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Nice boat, definately looks brand new Quote
nashua fisherman Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 thanks. took it out today for a couple hours to flints pond in hollis with the wife. its a little less stable than my 12 footer but i think its because the seats are a little higher and the bottom is a little narrower. anyways, we caught 4 pickeral on spinnerbaits. didnt seem to be any pattern. fish were deep and shallow. bite was slow. water was 47*. llPa1nll Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Nice boat. Always good to have a nice car topper you can fish so much more water out of that than you can with a trailer-able boat. Hope you have some great times in it. Tight lines. Quote
