DBinPA Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Anyone have any luck catching walleye or pike at this lake. been out on the lake 4 times this spring and have had no luck. All ive been using is some deep running lures.....mostly the new Rapala's(DT series, Deep Tail Dancer,Deep Husky Jerk, Clackin Rap).....no luck. Only one 2lb Largemouth. Quote
boatnik13 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 All them viewers and no responses! You can tell your in S.C. PA.area. Its all secrets. I know not a thing about this lake but some of the others I do. Someone always getting nice Pike from Marburg. Long arm dam in Hanover has pike and walleye action also. Isen't B&B tackle shop near Marburg that could answer your question. Quote
buster01 Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 This definitely a delayed responce guy but sorry Im new to the site. Codorus is a hard fish for me. I only bass fish mainly, and in the past two years It has been a slow go on the lake but I live 10 mins away. Anyway I have started driving to Pinchot Lake I think it has many more fish. My 2 cents Quote
DBinPA Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 Well, i actually had something to get excited about last friday. I was at Marburg trolling in about 35 feet of water with a Rapala (30') Tail dancer and busted a 3lb Largemouth. We were trolling back to the ramp to go home. Kinda forgot what it felt like to reel in a nice fish.........felt good Quote
basser89 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Cool deal! Congrats! Its been FAR too long since I've fished Marburg! Hopefully, before the year is up, I'll make it over and up there! Quote

My 2 cents i live like 5 mins away from pinchot and i have been in every cove and fished every deep, i have boated and fished off shore and i cannot figure out how to fish that lake, (except cat fishing thats not to hard) i think i have tried every bait at every hour. (i spent 16 consecutive hours on the boat one time and caught nothing but a 10" largemouth and 2 cat) is there any advice you could give me or any spots you could tell me about i know the lake like the back of my hand. thanks seth Quote

I'm more towards ultra light rigs but have caught bass there.. I've had decent luck with roostertails, and 4 to 6" worms there in the past.. For some reason the water's been still pretty cool, but have spotted bass in the shallows chasing bluegills.. HTH, and good luck to you !! Tux Quote
BadKarma42 Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Going to marburg on Friday. Updates anyone? Water temp? How high are the weeds? Quote
