chaosnut Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Anyone have any experience (suggestion) on a Good 10"+ worm? Quote
Bob Kavanaugh Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 In my big worm bag I have Zoom Ol' Monster, Zoom Mag II, Culprit 10" and 12", and some 10" Power worms. The Power worms seem harder than the Zoom, so I primarily use the Zoom. I don't like much getting in the way of the hook. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted March 6, 2008 Super User Posted March 6, 2008 "Culprit" 10" and 12 " worms can't be beat IMHO. I like the Black Shad and Red Shad colors. Killer bait! Click on the Bass Pro Shops banner at this link and you can order them at BPS. If you use the banner, BassResource gets a little ad revenue. Doesn't cost you any extra. http://www.bassresource.com/fish/advertisers.html Try them! Ronnie Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted March 6, 2008 Super User Posted March 6, 2008 yup i gotta agree, culprits 10 and 12 inch are very hard to beat. however, if you can still find them (discontinued) riverside made some 9 or 10 inch big wag worms. those are my favorite! Quote
KevO Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Berkeley 10in power worm in red shad always does the trick for me Quote

djmax22 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 10" red shad Berkley power worm. I had a zoom red shad worm my buddy a Berkley red shad power worm. He was just pulling out the fish. I switch over to the Berkley and soon I was too. From that point on my 10" worm is Berkley Red Shad or Black Fleck. IMO it is the best 10" worm on the market and I have tried all the major brands. There is something about that worm that attracts the fish. It is typically the only plastic worm that gets pulled out of the bag during the summer months and it usually delievers. Quote
CJ Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I think I've used almost all of the above mentioned and they all work great. I wouldn't limit myself to 10" ribbon tails. Don't be scared to go with a 12". Also you should try different tail types. Here are a list I use: 10" Gambler Ribbon Tail.I go to a ribbon tail when I putting a hop to my presentation. 11" Mister Twister Phenom or 12"BPS Squirmin' Worm. The smaller C-Tail will give you action with the slowest of presentations. Awesome worm when it gets hot and I need to slow down out in deep water. 10" Lucky Strike Original Ringer. Alot like a ribbon tail but the ribs give it a slower fall. 10" Lucky Strike Baby Huey. A big paddle tail worm. It's bouyancy causes it to stand up nose down and it's another great for slow presentations out in deep water. Quote

Vulture Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Power worm in Tequila Sunrise.... similar to red shad but better! Quote
powerman970 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Culprit is the ticket for me. I rarely fish anything larger than a 10" worm and to be perfectly hones usually no larger than 7.5" but when I do I fish a Tequila Shad Culprit. I also like the Fire and Ice color. Quote
