catchbig0bass Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Hey all, Now that it seems to be post spawn whats everyone going twords when you dive in that tackle box. type? color preferance? I have been having great luck with senko's mainly darker colors or white. Just picked up a few different colors of slug-o;s so im dying to try them out. Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I like fishing around the deeper areas close to the spawning flats. Usually I'll start with a rattle trap, chatterbait, or crankbait, searching for a concentration of fish. Once I find a few, I'll drop a couple bouys and fish the area with a dropshot. I don't think a fish has ever seen a roboworm on a dropshot rig and not eaten it :-) Usually once I find them at a certain depth, most of the fish will be at a similar depth. Of course, you can always catch some fish shallow as well. Quote
Pieman Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I love my 6 or 7 inch worms texas or wacky in Junebug. Been killing them on that all year. Quote
D4u2s0t Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 so far only thing really producing consitently is the good ole senko. got a few on spinnerbaits, but nothing to brag about. I've tried a different assortment of lizards, kreatures, worms, spinners, usually come up empty and go back to the senko, and then start killing em. Quote
