This is just a general question as to the Brands of spinnerbaits you like to use.  Im always looking for new things to throw into the Tackle box that I couldnt find here in MI.

I Personally like War Eagle and Nichols myself, and saw the interchangeable "secret Weapon" spinnerbait in the store here and bought one... anyone have anything to say on it?

Thanks for your input!

I'm also from Michigan and the spinnerbait just happens to be my go-to-bait.

As for a pure spinnerbait, the Terminator T-1 is the best in the business in my opinion. You rarely have to worry about them running true and their skirt system is top of the line. I have had Terminators break on me before, but this was after catching over 100 bass/pike/bowfin with the same lure. So you won't want to hang onto the same bait for too long because you'd hate for a break right after hooking onto a lunker.

As for a "secret weapon" spinnerbait... For me it's hands down Bass Pro Shop's "Tornado." It actually might be my favorite lure in the bag these days. It's kind of a combination between a spinnerbait and a buzzbait, and i've had a ton of success on them.

As far as skirts go, i'd highly recommend buying a bunch of individual skirts, which can save a lot of time compared to tying on a new lure. Terminator and Northland "limber leg" skirts make a variety of differently colors and for the most part will fit on any spinnerbait.

I like the T-1's and have a few... as far as the secret weapon goes, I meant that there is actually a brand called secret weapon, that advertise's and interchangeable blade system and realistic looking heads...

also Bass Pro shops has a promotional sale on the T-2 spinnerbait on March 15th, where you can buy 5 for $10... I went to Bass Pro to see some and there were only T-1's and the stainless models there.

Im wondering if there is gonna be somekind of special release of the T-2 on this date.. if anyone knows about this, im curious to see if my thinking is correct.

hey josey, I talked to a guy at BPS. He said that they get the t-2's in a week or so before, then they hold them backstocked until close the night before, stock them up for the next day. Start of business, first come first serve. Everybody else gets a raincheck.

I tried to do some searching on-line for colors and what not. I could'nt find anything.

I've used about all of em but the finest so far are the KaRu vibra-spins. Their made by a small company in Iowa and the action and quality are great. PM me if you want to know more. (The company isn't a sponsor on this site so I don't want to be a spammer). :o

really like the look of those, just havent had a chance to use them yet. They make great frogs too. Other than than I use a lot of terminators, Nichols and going to try Bitin Titans which are made in Michigan. Looks like a nice slow roller.

Local bass pro has the T2's in the back room. Nice big box of them.

I have some of the Bitn titans lol... I got them at the Ultimate fishing show last year when the owner brought em to the show unpainted...

I got like 6 of em for $1.50 a piece unpainted. I painted em at home and have had some success with them. The Titanium blade theory of lighter blades thumping better at slower retrieves is interesting. I seen him again this year and got a good laugh with him considering his product looked better in an actual package as opposed to a cluster of unpainted spinnerbaits in a cardboard box. I guess a booth at the show must be expensive. Good luck with them. I actually took one and cut the arm short to make it like a zorro short arm spinnerbait. It did fairly well at night.

excited about the T-2's.. I live like 10 min from BP but unfortunatly ill be in georgia for the sale, so some buddies are going at opening and buying a bunch up for me.  :o

Could we expand this topic?

We all have our favorites, but what makes them your favorite? Outside of results. What feature do you look for? What feature do you think makes your favorite spinnerbait a fish magnet?

Here's my thoughts on why I like an Accent :

1. Extra sharp hook

2. Lightwire :o

3. Round rubber skirt (awesome fluttering action)

4. Fluted blades

5. I can get any blade combo and almost any size from 1/4-1 oz.

Now, Accent spinnerbaits aren't very tough. It's the price I pay for the results I get. Most of them are only good for one day of fishing (pending on the activity), which would turn alot of people off.
