jbmaine Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Hi All, I was wondering if anyone fishes Great East lake. The description of the lake sounds like it should be a good SM lake but I've never talked to anyone who actually fished it. Anyone here give it a try? If so how did you do. Thanks JB Quote
unhbass37 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Never heard of that lake. Sorry I can't help. Try this one Lake Massabesic in Auburn, NH. This lake has both SM and LM. I went out last year with my son and did OK. Quote
hawgwalker Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 The first tournament of the year was always at ice out on Great East but that stopped due to permitting issues with NH. I have to say that I have a good 40 hours on that lake w/o a fish. I have learned some since then 8-). It used to take big weight to win......mostly largemouth from the back bays. A lot of good lookin water and a decent launch as I recall. It has been 20 years Quote
djs fishing Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Its a good lake. Seems I caught mostly LMB. Have not fished in in years. I would fish it if it was close to me. Quote
jbmaine Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 Thanks for the replies everyone. It sounds like it might be worth a look. JB Quote
