unhbass37 Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 That should make fishing tough. I was watching Bill Dance the other day and he was catching big hawgs in 40+degree water. I would like to fish with him someday. He truly is a great fisherman. I guess alot of years experence helps. I have so much to learn about cold weather fishing :-[... I was on a roll last summer LOL.... Quote
tritz18 Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 In MA its in the upper 30's at night. hoping for a warm end of the week because I am going out on friday. just going to have to fish even slower. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 8, 2009 Super User Posted April 8, 2009 I live in southern NH, and was wondering what lakes or ponds are ice free? I'm itchin to take the boat out, and maybe even catch my first bass of '09. Thanks Quote
jaystraw Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Shane, I think all the water in the southern part of the state are hard water free by now. Have fun!! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 8, 2009 Super User Posted April 8, 2009 Nice, bro. I did go down to one of my regular ponds, and no ice! I'm goin out this weekend. Good luck to everyone else wettin' a line around here, too! Quote
unhbass37 Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Hope you have some luck. I have not any yet. With these cold nights it makes it even harder. Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 He truly is a great fisherman, but don't be fooled into thinking he would catch fish like that in your pond. He does his shows on private trophy-stocked ponds Quote
Super User Tin Posted April 9, 2009 Super User Posted April 9, 2009 The cold nights are killing my shallow water jig bite. They wont move up shallow until mid-afternoon. But when we have clouds or rain during the night they just stay super shallow (2 feet or less). Quote
fuzzynuttz Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I went out in the boat was cold windy caught nothing but a buzzzzzz, but it was great anyway. ;D Quote
