That should make fishing tough. I was watching Bill Dance the other day and he was catching big hawgs in 40+degree water. I would like to fish with him someday. He truly is a great fisherman. I guess alot of years experence helps. I have so much to learn about cold weather fishing  :-[... I was on a roll last summer LOL....

I live in southern NH, and was wondering what lakes or ponds are ice free? I'm itchin to take the boat out, and maybe even catch my first bass of '09. Thanks

Shane, I think all the water in the southern part of the state are hard water free by now.  :)

Have fun!!

Hope you have some luck. I have not any yet. With these cold nights it makes it even harder.

He truly is a great fisherman, but don't be fooled into thinking he would catch fish like that in your pond. He does his shows on private trophy-stocked ponds  :)

The cold nights are killing my shallow water jig bite. They wont move up shallow until mid-afternoon. But when we have clouds or rain during the night they just stay super shallow (2 feet or less).
