shootermcbob Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Does anyone here regularly fish either Tappan lake or Clendening lake? Quote
THEbassmaster Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 check out ohiogamefishing.com. should be some people on there that do.. aaron Quote
thetr20one Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I fish Tappan every year with great results when I pick when we go. Tournaments can be tricky there when scheduled and conditions aren't right. Clendening is a 10hp lake and I haven't been there in about 15 years but, it is a good fishery. Quote
JuniorFisherJJ08 Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 tappan lake is very tricky really can be stuff depending on conditions stick to the rocky points on the outskirts of covers or rocky bends in the coves also the needed backwater are perfect for frogs or buzz waits later on. clendening seems to of gotten tuffer to fish I've had good luck with white senkos wacky rigged mid to late season if ur looking for tourneys pm me.. sorry bout the typing error im on my phone..lol Quote
6pointbuck2003 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I have had my best luck throwing jerkbaits around tree tops at tappen. Especial back in coves. If you go when there are bait balls swiming around match the hatch with a jerk bait and hang on. Belle bay i have found is the best bay there. Quote
rtwvumtneer6 Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 Looks like this topic is a few years old, so I'm curious if any feedback on Tappan Lake has changed? I am considering a weekend trip in the spring. Would be renting a boat and fishing 2-3 days. Trying to do my homework in advance. Any suggestions on boat rentals, locations, lodging, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Quote
