plnoldrick Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Beaver County Newbie here. Monaca PA, fishing The Ohio, the Beaver and Brady's run Lake so far. Probably heading to Lake Arthur this summer... Hey right across the river (kinda). Im over in conway. i mostly fish any lake in western pa and eastern ohio. favorites would be wilhelm and power dam but ive fished just about every lake around or not around here. arthur is the closest to me but im mixed on it. it was my kryptonite untill i started figuring things out last year although its still not in the top ten. it's a tough lake for me. say hi if ya see me on the water, i'll be in the only 06 tracker 170 with a real non stickered up 9.9 out there, at least untill kpd and cross creek bump thier HP limits. Is that a guess or just an observation? it would have to be a guess since its the tarentum bridge. is that little tackle shop still there under the bridge? they used to have a pretty good selection of tubes. BASS fisherman Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Yup, it is still there. The place is called Allegheny bait and tackle. Lock 3 bait and tackle has a better selection of tubes now. They are down Freeport road in Cheswick. Quote

BASS fisherman Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Might be convenient, but I bet those places dont throw in extras. Last week I bought a Carrot stick and a new Curado at Lock 3. He threw in 4 jigs, a couple cans of pop I had on the counter, and some other older plastics I grabbed from a discount bin. This past Monday I went down to get my license. I bought it and walked out to the car and searched for my license holder. I couldn't find it and went back in to buy one. He didn't charge me for it. Lee Murray is the owner of Lock 3 and as far as I can tell he makes his living off making money at tournaments. Not only is he one heck of a fisherman, he is one hell of a guy! Quote
