WTRDOG Posted August 16, 2008 Author Posted August 16, 2008 Lincoln Woods........... Gates close at dusk. I was just kidding......I'll let everyone else decide,I'll fish just about anywhere and Lincoln woods isn't one of them.......
HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 What about some of the Nothern RI Ponds so it's closer to the Mass guys and gals? Not that it really matters because I don't see it being a problem for a night T at Wallum. I call RI Monday and see whats available and if it's Wallums not, I'll call MA and use Whitehall as a back up.
WTRDOG Posted August 16, 2008 Author Posted August 16, 2008 I don't know about you,but I just love to get stuck on a bunch of stumps at 2:30 in the mourning ....... :'(...I'm sure we can do better than Whitehell.....Let's see some more idea's PLEASE.
Cigarlover 1 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 This is a tree branch and brush contest isn't it?

I was just thowing Whitehall out there due to it's location. We may have some guys coming from NH,CT and as with Micheal Aberchromby (Masshole) who is already an hour and half away it would be atleast a three hour ride to Mashpee for them. If that distance is OK with the participants why not choose Long Pond in Brewster/Harwich( no parking fee at night)or Wequaquet in Barstable (Parking sucks but an outstanding fishery)as back ups, which are much more fisherman friendly(everyone fills the livewell) over Mashpee which can be as tough as nails sometimes. There is also Singletaty in Sutton or Webster lake. I know Mashpee fairly well ,as I know you do, but there is so much dead water, what about the guys who have never been there? I'm just trying to keep the travelers in mind here, being the thoughtful soul I am Wallum can be a tough fishery as well but it's location is appealing. Lets also try to keep on mind that Wallum is more then likely available. Here's the Schesduled events for Wallum: Nothing scheduled for August Wallum Lake Sunday, April 27, 2008 12 6:00 AM 7:00 AM 3:00 PM Celtic Bassmasters Wallum Lake Saturday, May 03, 2008 15 6:00 AM 6:30 AM 2:30 PM Pioneer Valley Bass Anglers Wallum Lake Sunday, May 04, 2008 10 6:30 AM 7:00 AM 2:30 PM New England Bass Hunters Wallum Lake Saturday, May 10, 2008 15 6:00 AM 7:00 AM 3:00 PM Freedom Bass Wallum Lake Saturday, May 17, 2008 14 5:30 AM 7:00 AM 3:00 PM American Bass Anglers Division 100 Rhode Island Wallum Lake Saturday, June 07, 2008 15 6:30 AM 7:30 AM 3:00 PM Bare Hill Anglers Wallum Lake Saturday, September 13, 2008 15 6:00 AM 7:00 AM 3:00 PM Worcester Bass Masters Wallum Lake Sunday, September 14, 2008 15 6:00 AM 7:00 AM 3:00 PM Worcester

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Just a reminder guys, for liability purposes, please make sure that the BassResource name is not on the permit. This is not a sanctioned event. A couple other groups have done this here also and they've had a blast with it, LOTS OF PICS PLEASE! Catch 'em up!!!

If that's the case we'll just fish w/o a permit or pick another location. Ok guys & gals your input on this descision is appreciated!
Cigarlover 1 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Doesn't matter where it's at to me as long as it's not way out on the cape. lol That'd be a bit of a drive for me. Other than that I'll fish anywhere. I'm not picky.
WTRDOG Posted August 16, 2008 Author Posted August 16, 2008 Let's just stick with Wallum, easy access and plenty of room.If I'm not mistaken you don't need a permit unless you have over 6 boats. That Cary guy at the office is a real tool, and as far as I'm concerned he can kiss my .

I must learn your subtle, silver tonge aproach and way with words! ;D Easy there killer, down boy, down! ;D We're going with Wallum as you originally planned, they just want a back up pond when calling in a permit in order to save time and numerous phone calls
Masshole Mike Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Don't worry about me having to drive Paul, Cigarlover is probably another hour north of me anyways so anything I have to drive will be even longer for him. I'm down to fish wherever, I'll drive up to Winnepesauke if that's where we decide to hold this ish. Wallum sounds good, never fished it but that's fine by me. I don't really know many other lakes down in that area so I can't really offer any backup spots, but like I said, anything is fine with me.

Bassnajr Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I am also up in the air right now. Wallumn Lake is not an easy fishery during the daylight at the best of times, never mind at night. It's kind of a drop shot ,deep crank place etc........ I wandered....sorry....are we having a cook out or what?? I was told there'd be food.....LBH is cooking on the Hibachi right??? Maybe some Brats??? Let me know!!!

I'm not up in the air about anything, I'm in 100%.Wallum lake is a very tough place to fish Because of boat traffic especially during the summer. But,when the boats go away the fish will play and you don't need to dropshot or fish deep cranks. The hot spot I marked is the eco-toilet,Because with all the snacks and soda me and Cigarlover are going to consume were going to need it.
Bass Hole Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Can we fish alone? I am still up in the air about it and can't commit just now but if at the last minute i decide to go is that ok?

And one other thing. :-X And daylight might be a better choice depending on the water level, that place is a mine field., I can see some trolling motor shafts being bent. If that's the case.............can I borrow your baot for this event? ;D
