WTRDOG Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 The date and time work for me.Can't beleive over 700 views and the guys that have signed up are the only one's with some balls here.Maybe if it was a spring torney during the spawn we'd have plenty of boats,These guys call themselves fisherman by casting to a fish on a bed.....Just a little harder this time of the year.
Masshole Mike Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 8/30 works fine for me. Can't wait to meet you guys and see the others i've already met again. Bring some stogies!

Win, Place, lose........makes no deference to me. I'm in it for the camaraderie with fellow fishermen By the way, I had an unfortunate incident with my zipper as a young lad and no longer have balls. :-X This is a very touch subject for me. If you could please keep that in mind in your future posts it would be greatly appreciated :-[

wagn Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Unfortunately I won't be able to attend that date. I'm moving that weekend. I can get away with alot, but i'm pretty sure bailing to go fishing on moving weekend is one thing that the Wife won't put up with. No big deal, No date is going to work for everyone. Good luck on the water guys!!

CRFisher Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I'm in. A few quick thoughts though. For us non-boaters, any thoughts on what we should bring if someone is kind enough to cart our read ends around for the night? I figured gas money is a given, but besides that wasn't sure if we should bring anything else besides our gear. (flashlights, etc.) What's the shore fishign access there like? I figured worst case scenario maybe some of us that are boatless could fish from shore? A digital camera and a "approved' scale might make up for the lack of a livewell. Just thoughts.
CRFisher Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Looks like there is no shore fishing allowed at night. So never mind my second question.
emti56 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 why not a day event so people that have not bee on the lake before could have a clue were the are and may be safer. do not get me wrong i love to night fish and will just a thought
WTRDOG Posted August 10, 2008 Author Posted August 10, 2008 This is what the parking lot would look like if you had a day torney at wallum. Not to mention all the jet ski's and waterskiers.Maybe our next get together can be at Goose pond...
WTRDOG Posted August 10, 2008 Author Posted August 10, 2008 Plus Bronzeback Bombers eyes are to sensitive to sunlight due to an accident with a zipper when he was a kid.....
emti56 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 ya i guess that may not work thought the lake was not so busy funny you say goose pond i am heading there tonight as i do about three times a weak. I would like to see a yearly get together for the northern guys wouldn't care were. i will have to take a look at the maps a little more for this one hope to make it and if any one needs a seat send me a pm plenty of room in my skeeter
masssilversrt4 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Wow I'm going to have a busy weekend that weekend.. It's good for me.. I may have a partner I should know this week.

You call yourself a fisherman by fishing those loaded ponds out on the Cape? Sorry, I'll be up on Champlain that week. Catch em up guys.

Tin, You keep going up to Champlain, you'll be fishing with Charlie Moore Before you know it .Then you'll be in with the likes of Bobby Orr,Sib Hashian and Joel....I guess every torney you have fished on the Cape didn't count because the lake's are loaded...Just remember catching fish at Champlain isn't going to make you a better fisherman.Fishing down the Cape will,Because when you can fish down a bank and catch fish after 10 other boats have just fished that water.Fishing Champlain you can Have areas all to yourself due to sheer size of the lake......Don't forget your roots fishing R.I. ponds and the Cape.......Hope to see you at the next event..............
Cousin Vinny Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Been away for a bit and just caught this thread. I dont have time to read 7 pages but if this thing is on, then when and where.
WTRDOG Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 Pm sent.Good to see the CT guys looking to get on board.
HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I think I might be able to make this one. 8-) Cool! You've probably got a partner or should I add you to the boaters list w/seat open?
HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 We've got two boaters and two non-boaters, why not PM one another and fill your empty seats? Just a suggestion
HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Plus Bronzeback Bombers eyes are to sensitive to sunlight due to an accident with a zipper when he was a kid..... Sorry I've been MIA,I just returned from the eye Doctor. I will now will need a guide for night T get together. Figured I'd be better off w/a set of balls then pair of sun sensitive eyes, so I had my eyes transplanted to where my balls used to be. Sounds strange, but I have much better aim now and hardly ever miss the toilet.
