I'm probably going to head out this weekend to do some fishing in the Susquehanna Flats area. I've fished the area in the past numerous times. On my way back from the Northeast I wanted to try north of the bridges around Garrett Island. Does anyone have any pointers for smallmouth / largemouth.

Thanks....

i wadefish the Susky a couple times per summer and i have found 2 great ultralight patterns. 1 is a Gold Flame Pins Minnow, jerk it while reeling, simply let it float back up, you can catch a ton of smallies! 2 is a bumblebee rooster tail, you can burn it right under the surface, slow roll it mid-depth, or bump the bottom with it. I have found these to be killers in shallow water for smallies! (the rooster tail works great in all depths though) Also, for a bigger fish or 2, try a bomber fat a in crawfish color rooted along the bottom. And topwater, a heddon tiny torpedo fits the bill quite nicely!
