MDbassinmike Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Went to Triadelphia today twice (early this morning and this evening) only caught one 12" smallie this morning and zipped this evening. I talked with several fishermen who zipped. I have never had so much trouble catching fish. I fished carolina rig 4" finesse worm, Green Pumpkin, most of the time. I also tried crank bait and top water. By the way, they are also dropping the lake level alot. It's probably about 4 or 5 feet low. Quote
Bad Fish Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 ahh yes tridelphia resevior,,,the enigma of the patuxant rive system,,,I fished its sister lake rocky gourge yesturday and had about the same result,,,the best advise I can give for Tridelphia is to stay off the banks,,,the lake has a very gradual profile. Try to find the drop off in the main channel on main lake,,,its seems weird but everytime I,ve found fish i'm sitting in the middle of no where,,,,a good fishfinder and possibly a gps would be helpfull,,,you color selection in right on,,,but consider black and blue if the green doesnot get ti done, Quote
MtAiryEd Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I fish Triadelphia a lot. The last three outings I had hardly any luck with plastics. I did do fairly well trolling deep-diving cranks like shad-raps, over deep water. Like 30-35 feet. I also caught white perch doing this. Perhaps the bass lie under the white perch looking for easy pickin's. Quote
