Thats it I am stayin Pat for the season, with the exception of the 2 fat raps 8-) I was at Dicks and wanted to get a couple subwalks but they didnt have any but I did get a couple X rap slashbaits. These new Xrap series are really good looking lures. I dont think LC's have anything on them and they are half the price. Oh and BTW my Dicks has ALL rapalas 20% off Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I picked up three off ebay a little while back, glad I did. I find this very intersting. You are 17 and the contract for ebay says you must be 18 years old to buy, sell and bid. It is right there in the USER AGREEMENT PAGE Quote

Guest muddy Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 When you register, the e form asks these questions, and for proof and they do try and verify. They even go on to explain that this is done because to enter into a legal contract, one must be 18. Even when I give away stuff to a minor here, I always ask for a contact number to verify with thier parents, it helps kids know how to be safe and the parent should be aware. I learned that from the Mods here 8-) Quote
Super User Raul Posted March 3, 2008 Super User Posted March 3, 2008 Back to the subject of FAT RAPS DISAPEARING LIKE THEY ARE GOLD!!!!! Muddy, they are gold ! And the Shallow Fat Rap and the Rattlin Fat Rap ( both discontinued ) are even more. Quote
jwo1124 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Just so you guys know, Dick's is having a sale on Rapalas, 20% off lures, like $1.20 makes a big difference Quote
tyrius. Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Just so you guys know, Dick's is having a sale on Rapalas, 20% off lures, like $1.20 makes a big difference You're thinking about this ALL wrong. It should be buy 5 get 1 FREE. Can you really pass up free lures? I think the Fat Raps and Sub Walks are excluded from the sale. They didn't ring up at 20% off and when I asked the cashier called the fishing department and they said some weren't on sale, but gave them to me at the sale price (25% off!!!). Quote

Guest muddy Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Thats cool, just be careful their are so called "adults" who scam all the time on ebay. I am not saying you are not smart, it is always better to have your folks look over a deal and they do it Because then the seller is also bound to the contract, since it is then legal. 8-) I guess I must be on Del's whats wrong with America list Quote

No, he's not referring to the Dives To (DT) Fats. These are what he's referring to... Fat Rap I have a few of the Fat Raps. I picked up a bunch of the Glass Fat Raps a few months ago at BPS when they were on clearance for $4 each. Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Hey Micro>>>'Cabelas still had the Balsa Wood Raps when I ordered em Fbl: They also have the shallow one heres the link : ITEM IN STOCK!!!!!!!! http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0030952110478a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=fat+raps&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=fat+raps&noImage=0 Quote
Super User Micro Posted March 4, 2008 Super User Posted March 4, 2008 I'd like some more, but I'm tapped out. I looked on Cabelas site a few weeks ago and they were out of stock. None of the stores around hear have the plain Fat Raps - including BPS. I'm just going to use what I have and hope I don't lose any. Quote
Big-O Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Good luck, I throw'em till I lose'em, then go after some more. That's Fish'in. Quote
Captain Chaos II Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 So...not to sound like an arse but.....what makes these better from what is out there already?? Compared to say a Bagley balsa crank? I do like the thought of the 1/8oz bait for finesse fun..... These things catch fishermen like crazy syndrome, perhaps?.... Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Hey Captin; Just been using Rapala baits for a long time. These are an old tried and true bait, for some reason they are not always readily available. They have a different action and Bouancy than the DT's. I use Rapala,Storm, and Bomber Cranks most the time I am throwing a crank. It is what I learned on. I have friends that throw mostly Bagely's. also successfuly. Most brands do work, each guy finds what they have CONFIDENCE in. Quote
Chode2235 Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I love the mini fat raps for fishing for smallmouth on rivers. They eat them up. Rapala didn't stop making them though, right? Quote
