hjerk24 Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 We are heading up Sat. night and will be at the ramp Sunday the 22nd at first light. Any bassresource guys/gals that are from there would like to say hey, or fish, stop on by and say hi! We are there from Sun-Wed, and would love to meet new folks. If you want to get a fun half day tournie, or just cool fellowship, drop a line. I am excited to fish, and we are bringing two boats. Look for a White Yukon towing a Teal Stratos, and a White GMC Towing a White Ranger (Not as Awesome as the Stratos I Know,....but...) Either way, I have a goal of a 5 lb' er this week, and maybe it will happen, either way, I am fishing at one of the best fisheries in the country!!!!! God Bless--- Drop a line if you are near. Jamie The pic is the Ticonderoga ramp, and I love to see that when I look over my shoulder, because i know that I am actually there, not just one of my many bass fishing dreams... Take Care---- Quote
hjerk24 Posted June 15, 2008 Author Posted June 15, 2008 Does anyone here fish Champlain? Seems these posts never get too much response...seems strange actually...either way....fishing Champ Sun-Wed...BABY!!!! SWEET! Quote
hjerk24 Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 What a waste of a thread...sad really. Where are all you guys/gals up North? Whatever! Quote
hjerk24 Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 Hey, I got my own thread.... So hjerk24, whats new? Quote
hjerk24 Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 Nothing, thanks for the response... Good fishing! Quote
NEKvt Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Best of luck. Should be good if these thunderstorms ever let up. I figure you are fishing the southern end, I am new to the champlain area so can't give you much info. I fish the northern portion the most anyway, hoping to make it down south soon. Let us know how you do. People are reading, just not posting. Quote
hjerk24 Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 Yeah I fish South of Ti- have one nice spot that tends to give up 3-5lbers. daily. No secret- if you want the spot give me a private shout. Otherwise, we will fish round Ti- we got fogged in there last year one morning- just fished at the Vermont side along th outside weed edges, and hammered them for a few hours. My buddy caught this smallie. Here's the pic. Thanks for the post----Leaving Sat round 11:30-12 midnight. Peace- and good fishing. Jamie Quote
hjerk24 Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 Here's one more nice pic, nice fish, but a good quality pic I think. Caught down past ti on the right in front of a small railroad trussel. It's a nice spot down past Ti- on the right. Caught quite a few off the entrance rocks of this small trussel...you can see it in the back. If it seems I get excited about Champlain...I do. There's no fishing in PA here that equals the number and size of the bass we catch up there. Peace Quote
hjerk24 Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 Here's a cool pic i took of IKE 2 years ago, as we sat at the Ti dock ready to get out to pre-fish. "NEVER GIVE UP!" Quote
NEKvt Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I'll have to find a good campground and get down to that area and check it out. Nice fish. Quote
hjerk24 Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 Thanks- if you are around this weekend we could link up. Jamie PM if you'll be around. Peace Quote
vtbassin Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Hi hkjerk24, 4 days of fishing ;D Is a good thing ;D. Do you drive straight through to the launch? When I fish the southern end I sometimes launch across the lake in Shoreham. I see that view in your picture a lot. Good luck with that 5 lber I hope you get one each day! I am not sure what my plans are for this weekend. I just spent the last 3 days fishing the LCI. I caught a lot of nice 3 to 3.5 lb smallies but nothing big enouth to stay on the board. It was my first LCI and a lot of fun. Good Luck! Quote
hjerk24 Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 Had a great 3 and ahalf days....caught this Largemouth on a Brush Hog, and weighed (scale said) 4.15 and 5.03, so calling her my first 5lb er!!!! Caught all kids of fish including my fist Walleye (5lber) and many others. Enjoy the pic! Jamie Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 27, 2008 Super User Posted June 27, 2008 Great fish, but it's the wrong color! Quote
WTRDOG Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 How many fish did you catch in 4 days at Champlain?I would figure the area you fished, you were catching mostly largemouth... Quote
Super User Tin Posted June 27, 2008 Super User Posted June 27, 2008 There are mixed bags everywhere in Champlain. Even south of Ti in the coffee milk water you can grab smallies out of the grass. I was just up there last week and Lake George. I will be back up 3 or 4 more times this year for Weekend Series events. Can't wait to get on Timmy Horton's "rocks". Quote
detroit1 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 There's nothing wrong with the color of those fish RW,what's wrong is that I should be holding those gooduns. That rockpile mr. Tim found was unbelievable, wasn't it? Someday i hope to find my own fish barrel and catch 5#ers for an hour or two.... Quote
hjerk24 Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 I found one the color you seem to like..on a Strike King (out of the box from Walmart) chartuse with red bleeder hook. 3-4 lber...I figured. Peace. Jamie Quote
