Hey, I was at Gander Mountain today, and was buying a few small 2 1/2 inch Husky Jerks, since they are my go-to bait in the winter. Anyway, I went to buy a few and they were really low on stock. Most of the colors were colors I didn't like, although I did buy the last one of their gold/green color.

I went over to the guy who works in the fishing department behind the counter, and asked when they'd be getting new stock in for the rapalas, specificly the Husky Jerks. He told me the Husky Jerks are going to be discontinued and they are not getting another stock of them in.

Now maybe he doesn't know what hes talking about or somethin, but if this is true im in alot of trouble.. These lures are my all time favorite hard jerkbaits, and are pretty much the only true lure I can count on in this cold water situation. Do you think hes full of it? Or are they really being discontinued?

The Husky Jerk and Original Floating are the lures that Rapala has been identified with for a long time. Yeah they have Shads, X-raps, DT's, and many others, but those two are classics. The Husky Jerk is my favorite jerkbait, it performs it's purpose well. Wait, I think I hear the BM calling. Yeah, just in case, I'm going to go pickup around 30 or so.

As Burley's post shows, the Husky Jerk is still on Rapala's website.  If the Husky Jerk, the original floater, or the Shad Rap were discontinued I think  it would be getting rather cold in hell.

hmm idk i really think they will not discontinue it  they might slow down production but will not cut it out   no way    i really dont care  i like the old rebel jerkbaits and the smithwicks so  but they would have to be absolutely insane to discountinue one of there highest selling baits
