I hit Triadelphia on Saturday.  I fished from about 6:30 AM until about 11:00 AM.  It was very calm with the reservoir being quite flat.  The water was a bit discolored. The level is about 8'-10' below the 'normal' level.  I caught three largemouth bass, the biggest about 16"...two on drop shotted Zoom Tiny Fluke (baitfish color) and the other on a Bomber Square-A, crayfish color.

There were quite a few boats. The lot was full, and folks were in the overflow.

Did anyone ever hear the real reason my the Howard County ramps are closed??

This was my first attempt at drop shotting.  I used 1/4 oz weights, and Owner Mosquito 1/0 hooks. I fished the lure about 15"-18" above the weight.  I use a lot of plastics..like crayfish and worms, with Carolina rigging. It was a bit odd doing drop shotting. I tried to be deliberate, trying to picture the lure under the water as I tried to entice the fish.  I might try a heavier weight next time since it seems tough to sense hitting the bottom. Or perhaps its the size of my plastic distracting from the feeling.

Oh, and I lost a decent fish when he took the bait and I broke the line setting the hook. I can't remember the last time this happened to me with the Carolina rig.  Maybe I got the palomar knot not pulled tightly correctly.  I've read where it's the strongest knot. It did appear that the line broke at the hook.  Maybe the fish had the lure deep the line broke on it's mouth? ..not sure.

I fish in MD, the western part of the state though.  Dropshotting is odd at first but you'll get used to it, its a great technique.  The knot probably wasn't correct like you said, i wouldn't worry too much about it.  Knot problems happen to the best of us
