Anyone fish Lake Habeeb outside of Cumberland, MD? It is very near my family's hunting cabin and I would like to try some fishing there this year... I hear there are some hawg bass in there and they stock it with trout? Info on any fishing in there would be greatly appreciated!

I fish it about twice a year and even though I have not caught any big bass I saw some swimming around some fish cover. The lake will be full of grass in the summer. There is some riprap with really deep water and I have caught a lot of SM using a drop shot there.

I would use Curry scented camel tubes on a lake named Habeeb

Let me know how you do... The MDNR web site says they regularly electroshock 10 lb bass out of there. So there are some hogs eating all the stocked trout in there. I bet a big trout imitating swim bait would be great this time of year. I hear there are some hold over trout in the lake as well. Gonna try to catch a few this summer with the downriggers...

I'll have to bring down my big swimbait this weekend, but i'll let you know I'll probably be throwing jerkbaits and crankbaits for this time of year.  My friends will be throwing tubes so we'll see if we can't catch a couple

A couple bites no hookups.  I'm gonna try fishing more towards the dam next time the water I was stuck at was a little too shallow for my liking. I should be going back next week and I'll post more results then

I fish there about 4 times a year. Always catch a few nice largemouths. I've been using pumpkin seed and watermelon Berkley Gulp. Let me know how you do.
