FishinGirl Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 just bought a new bait caster so I have been practicing,,,, the worst is, is that Im sitting on my new boat in my back yard and my neighbors think Im nuts....lol -FishinGirl Quote
MA_Bass Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 My roomate and I have 18 rods on display in the front hall. Sometimes (often) I just can't resist. I keep a practice plug handy for those momments. Quote
pondhopper Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Too cold out, that's why I have a fish tank I have an indoor rod to taunt my cat with. I have one of those, but the cat is unimpressed and just looks at me like I'm stupid. It's funny because when I do practice in the yard (yes, often in the snow) he always shows up to "help". Quote
Redtail Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 I do it at least 3 or 4 times a week. I tie on a plastic worm and practice accuracy. Sunday the neighbor's cat keep chasing the worm on the way in. The neighbors love to come out and ask how the fish are bitin. I always tell them I can only catch catfish this time of the year! Quote
thetr20one Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Guilty,Guilty,Guilty. I go out on the deck and flip at objects sitting on the ice in the pool. When it starts to warm an the plug punches through the ice I then start aiming at those holes. My wife already knows I am nuts and the neighbors just scratch their heads. Quote
XbassmasterX Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 yet to go out in the winter and throw around a bait but thought about it but have thrown some plugs down in the basement where its warm and closer temp conditions to when I fish outside ;D Quote
Mrs. Matstone Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I am guity of that too. Practicing with a bait caster. Tossing it into the bucket. Passing garbage men asked me if I was catching anything. I told them just rock bass. :-[ Quote
