i have been pitching a jig in the yard now for around a month!! but, today i got out and fished a local creek for smallmouth. no fish and i lost one of my favorite jigs and a s e x y shad wild shiner. but it felt good to actually cast into fish inhabited water, beats casting around dog poo in the backyard ;):)

my neighbors think i'm nuts... :-/

My neighbors are pretty used to it.  But, I am really starting to hate when the folks walking their dogs go, "Catch anything??? ;D"   That was never really all that witty to me. :;)

I went ice fishing yestarday, brought a new baitcaster and was flippen and pitching into open holes inbetween running to flags. I think other people fishing around us thought I was nuts. But practice makes perfect!

Oh definitely count me in on this one.  Last weekend I snuck out the side door to the garage to make a few casts without my wife laughing at me.

I go out in the back yard every winter and walk around my property and flip/pitch to random objects, like a big leaf or a small clump of snow. My family things i am crazy but it really is good practice.
